Hexagon Hive Card

Hello friends,

As usual, Tuesday late afternoon, I'm always all alone at home. Kids are in church practicing the choir and music ensemble. So, I promised myself early this morning to make something using the new tool. I used Stampin Up! Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die cut. Actually, my mojo hasn't come back yet. I have no idea what to make using this die cut. Then, I searched through the pinterest, and I found this blog. I made the same design with different color. I used my favorite color: turquoise.
This is the result:

I embossed the turquoise cardstock with Dot Matrix from Sizzix. The dotted fuschia is from Kaiser Craft. The sentiment stamp is from Heidi Swapp. And... the newest thing is the "Alas Foto Lipat".  This one is number 24. It was created by Ria. Fabulous..

Well, at least I made something today. Thank you for visiting...

The Owlie Family (again)

Hello friends,

This morning I had some time to be together with my craft assistants. I didn't need to come to school for the morning class, because Grade 12 was still in National Exam periode. I could come to school at 12.45 in the afternoon. So, we had time to plan crafts that do not use papers for the craft classes next week. It came to my mind to use fabric and the owl seemed to be the perfect one as a starter to sew. I searched, and I couldn't find the link. At the end, I found the owner of that famous owl tutorial. I hope you still remember the owlie family I made in 2013 based on her tutorial. This time, I didn't use a sewing machine. I sewed them by hand. Why? Because in the class, there won't be any sewing machines. Then, I attached (sewed) the ring and chain on the head. For the white and blue, I also included a round small bell. Well, you can use this owl as a key chain, or you can hang it on your bag.

Here are what I made this morning.

The blue fabric is from a scrap fabric of the HS uniform in my school.

I have plenty scraps of the blue fabric.

From its side. Look at the cute eye..

The blue and white: I stitched very close
The pink and stripes: I stitched not very close, as you can see the tread.

Hope you enjoy the new owlie family members...

Monochromatic Cards

Hello friends,

Today is the last day for me to teach Grade 12 before they have the National Exam (UN) this coming Monday-Wednesday. I really care for them. They are the first batch of this school. I need to give something to them to encourage them. So, I made these cards, 22 precisely.

The cards on my table in Grade 12 class.

I wrote each card with different sentences.

Here we are...

We were so happy in front of the camera.

Good luck, my students, for your National Exams. I know you can do all exams. FINISH STRONG!!

A Handmade Teabox

Hi friends,

Around 12 years ago, when I lived in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, I met a gorgeous lady. Her name is Mbak Ani. She lived in the TOTAL housing complex as I lived in Pertamina housing complex. She loved crafting. The life went on....
One day, she invited me and some friends to have some tea at her house. There, I saw a teabox. I was so inspired to make one.
Now, after 12 years, I had my time to make one to decorate my dining table. I put all the sachets I had.

See that I attached one charm on every corner of the box.

Do you want to have some tea with me, my friends?

Transformation: a lovely photo album

Hi friends,

I managed myself to recycle a wedding invitation into a photo album. The album is about my trip to Mount Bromo some time ago. I went there with my hubby.

The invitation
turned into this:

A photo album
From the scratch of papers (DCWV)

This is when you open the album. Only 2 sides.

You can open each side.

I used some washi tapes.

Washi tape was used on 3 sides of the picture, making it look like a pocket. I put the insider.

The insider has 2 pictures.

For small photos, I made a waterfall.

This is all about it.

The design papers are from a 12x12 stack of DCWV called The Modern Meadow. I love the color combo that this stack has. So lovely.

Hope you enjoy this transformation.

Easter Celebration Invitation

Hello friends,

Again, the Sunday School in my church asked me to make Easter Celebration Invitations for 225 kids. This is my third time making these cards for this school. So glad that they still trust me to contribute this time.

I used Papertreyink Egg die cut for the eggs, Martha Stewart's Grass Punch and 2 Cuttlebug Embossing Folders.
The inside will be the announcement itself and it will be made by other SC teacher.

The white cardstock is a local cardstock. These 225 cards will be distributed this Sunday, March 23.

Knitted Scarf

Hello friends,

I managed myself making a knitted scarf. I bought the Boye Loom Set In Joann, Dallas, TX, USA. The following day, I started using the tool. The instruction inside the box was written in English, but it wasn't clear enough for me. So I decided to go online and checked the Youtube. I found the one that interested me. Whenever I had time during my stay in the USA, I knitted. Even when I was in the waiting room in Dubai, I knitted. Lol... I wished I could have finished it when I arrived in Indonesia. But, I couldn't. It finally took me 3 weeks to finish this scarf.

Look at this yarn. Wow.. So big..

In front of Joann store in Dallas.

In the car, on the road trip, it accompanied me.

In the waiting room, Dubai Airport.

Here it is, the finished knitted scarf. It's 1.5 meter long.

I went to H&M store, and found the knitted scarf sold there. Mine is not bad lah... :D

And here I am wearing this scarf:

Thanks for reading my post about this knitted scarf. This is my first knitted scarf  ever.

Congratulations Card

Hello there,

Long time not writing on the blog. Today I had little time to make this card. Just a simple one.

Sources: MFT Stamp, Copic, Basic Cardstock

It's good to be back for a while. I still need to manage my time to make cards and other creations.

Until then, friends.

Christmas Invitation

Hi friends,

Again, I was asked to make Christmas invitations for the Sunday School kids. I had to make 225 pieces. So, for the mass product, I used simple creation.

Sources: Magnolia Tree die cut, shiny green cardstocks.

The inside of the invitation would be made by the committee. It was so much fun to make such mass-produced cards.. Really fun...

Simple Card

Hi friends,

At school, I manage the program called English Proficiency Program. I am the Director of Study of the program. This program is for JS and HS students. You can find all activities here.

The Regional Academic Manager who works in Jakarta would come to my school She would give us a short course for 2 days. I made a card for her, to thank her visit. And the ATC is for my excellent student. I gave him a book, and I inserted this ATC.

Sources: Die Cut, embossing folder, MFT sentiment stamp

I hope you enjoy my creation.
