Day 76 - DT ATC With Attitude - The Tassel

Hi, it's Friday again, and it's time for ATC Challenge. It's Anything Goes!! Easy peasy, isn't it? This is the  DT ATC for this challenge. She looks so pretty, right?

The Eiffel stamp reminded me of Sorbonne. Lol.. I wished I could have studied abroad, especially in France. Years ago, I could only manage myself to get a homestay scholarship in Tours to learn French. It was a fruitful experience, as I went there at the age of 37. Not a young age to "taste" living abroad, but, I gained wonderful time, wonderful friendship and wonderful journey, and wonderful shopping of craft things...ever...

Day 74 - Be Yourself

Hi friends,

Today I cleaned my craft desk, after making yesterday's scrapbook page. I found several pieces of scraps. I was thinking of using them instead of putting them in the drawer. Here is the result, just a simple card.

Sources: MFT sentiment stamp, Teresa Collin p.p., PTI tag die cut

It's so simple, right? So, never say that we can't make anything just from scraps. Trim and adhere, and sometimes stamp.. Voila..

I adore the sentiment stamp set from MFT. It's a gift when I shopped 2 months ago. The sentiments are about art and originality. So cool..

Ok, then, until then, my friends..

Scrapbook Page - It's A Special Time

Happy Monday, everybody..

My neighbor gave me a piece of a picture several weeks ago. She asked me to make a scrapbook page for this photo. It's a photo of her son with his school mates. In the picture, I can find more than 40 students. You can see here:

I was a bit overwhelmed of what to do with this picture. When I saw the photo frame, that made me more coward to start to scrap, because the photo really fits into the frame. No more spaces on each side. Today, I really tried hard to spare some time to think about it. I asked my friends who are capable in scrapbooking, but still I have no clues to start. Then, I sat down in my craft room, facing this photo. First, I took the vintage brown paper and started the scrapbooking. When I 2/3 finished, I realized the brown color made this page is too old for this young boy's room. So I tried to find another paper which could make it "younger". Voila! I found a white paper with blue, grey and black stripes. Cool. I worked again from the scratch on this page. And this is the result:

Sources: Hero Arts stamps, PTI tag die cut, Spellbinder circle die cut, Teresa Collin p.p., Distress Ink, EK Success border punch

I used new EK border punch on three sides using Prima grey card stock. And the rest, I used Hero Arts stamps. Look at that clock and sentiment stamp outs. They really saved me.

Since this is a picture of a group of students who joined the "architectural" assignment, so I used the stamp of a row of houses. I trimmed the houses one by one and put them above the title and also on the left side. Take a look on the details below:

I used pattern paper from a paper pad of Teresa Collin. So fabulous. I really love the blue combo in the pad. Even the yellow with white dots is also from the same paper pad.

And I put a little bird, going to the head of the boy. That's to point where the son of my neighbor is. Look at the picture below.

I forgot to take pictures from the sides, to let you see how each piece was adhered with the foam tape. In my eyes, it looks good.. Lol... Well, all of a sudden, I really want to make more pages.. It really hooked me.. (be careful, buddy..)

Okay, my friends, I hope you have a wonderful start of the week, as I do here.. See you again..

Day 73 - Delightful

Hello friends,

I want to tell you that some time ago, my friend Ayu, posted a picture of ombre cake on her portable. I was inspired to make a card based on the picture. The color gradation of the cakes was sooo pretty. I've never seen any cakes like those. This is the picture of the cakes.

And this is the card I made based on that picture.

Well, we are inspired by any things in our surroundings. I wish to make a green one later on, if I can find in my drawers, the green markers.

Okay, then, my friends. Happy Sunday to you all...

Day 72 - (a bag of) Thanks

Hi peeps,

It's Friday noon. I just made this oval bag with pattern papers. It seems that in this half week, my mood is using stamp on pattern papers. They directly make the creations pretty (in my eyes.. lol). It saves time and my energy.

Source: Hero Arts Flower stamps, Bo Bunny p.p., SU! tag punch, PTI bag die and sentiment stamp

I like cutting papers. Do you know the best trick to make the result of the cutting so smooth? It's easy. The hand which holds the scissors is the one that DOESN'T move. The hand that holds the paper is the one that moves. Hope it makes sense. Just give it a try.

This creation is an example for July Challenge that I am holding now in my Facebook account. Check it out here.

Happy weekend, my friends..

Day 71 - Sending You Lots of Hugs

Hai friends, meet again.

I took a short vacation to Batam Island and then crossed the bay to Singapore. I, actually, accompanied DH who had a meeting in Batam Island. I never expected to meet the ladies who are my friends, too. They also joined their DHs. So, with no hesitation, we went to Singapore by a ferry. We visited Universal Studio Singapore. Only in the outside. We didn't wish to go inside and enjoy the games. Noooo!

My friends just followed me to go to "Spotlight", a craft store in Plaza Singapura. That's all the store I could visit that day. On the following day, I went to SG with DH. Just the two of us. We had a wonderful time being together. That's "our time" that we've missed for almost 6 months.. Hehehe.. I, of course, "forced" ourselves to visit JDA and Art Friends. I bought some stamps in JDA, and most of all I love my new Zutter!! Ohlala, I finally have this tool. I had been dreamin' for this for almost a year. And the good thing, Zutter was in promo!! Only SIN$ 99 for all, incl. the book and the bag. Lovely!

Before leaving Batam Island, Kiki Emeralda visited me. We exchanged some goodies, and I love her tea bag folding card. You know, it's good to have friend (s) wherever we go. In Singapore, I failed to meet Sylvia Chua, my Flickr friend. But she really helped me with all the MRT ways to go everywhere. Moreover, she helped me finding the best store to buy SLR camera!

Back to Jakarta, I visited Kinokuniya and bought a card magazine. I was inspired by a card in the magazine, Card Maker, and this morning I managed myself to a little imitate it. This is my card.

Supplies: SU! flower stamps & leaf die cut, Hero Arts sentiment, p.p.

The flowers are from scraps. Since I was not in the mood of coloring, so stamping on pattern paper is a solution. Quite quicker and easier with good result.

A little imitation is okay and fine, I think, as long as we mention where we find the original one. The flowers are quite different. Because in the magazine, it used Hero Arts flower stamps. So, what else are you waiting for? Try to use all you have and create something. For me, there is no words such as "I can't". Everyone can do something if he/she wants to.

Challenge for the card:
Divas by Design #44 - Anything Goes
Shopping Our Stash Weekly #60 - Precious (the left scraps that I have no more)
The Craft Place Challenge: Anything Goes

Ok, then. Enjoy your day and keep creating.
