ODOP - Day 25 - Born To Shop

Hello friends,

Today's odop theme is: Me Time. That is the activity I enjoy doing by myself. Yeah.. I like shopping, not particularly craft tools. When I was in craft store, I would spend more than 3 hours to see, choose and finally buy the things I love. Last weekend, I went to the fabric store. That was the first time I went there. I felt like in heaven. There were so many beautiful fabrics. At first, I only wanted to buy linen in dark blue and broken white. I got them. Then, I saw so many pretty cotton fabric. I couldn't help myself. Lol. I spent much money on that store. However, I was lucky enough to meet the owner of the store. I told him why I bought the fabrics. Yes.. He wanted to support me by sending the left-over fabrics. I was so happy about that. He also promised to buy any sewing tools I need if he went to Japan. Cool...

Look at me, so happy with 2 bags full of fabrics..

And the project for today is, again, a tag, since I still have several empty tags. I stamped the glasses using Old Paper DI. Then I stamped these two ladies with Versafine Black Onyx, as well as the sentiment. All stamps were coming from a stamp set: Born To Shop by Grace Taylor.

This is my first tag:

But then, I saw the heart stamp on the set and made another tag:

Today is the last day of ODOP: Journey of Life. We will have another ODOP in December. In November we will have ODOI : One Day One Image to color. Fun, huh?

What will you do to spend your me time? Let me know. Perhaps we have similarities.. Lol..

ODOP - Day 24 - Love Grows Here

Happy Tuesday, my friends...

The theme for the one day one project is Tag. So I made this one.

The tag die cut is from Kaiser Craft. All love die cuts as well as the stamps are from MFT. I used Versa Color ink pads. The stripes are from Bazzil paper. And of course I use The Twinery.

Hope love also grows in you. It means: all kindness can cover mistakes... Love...

ODOP - Day 23 - Love This

Hello friends,

Happy Monday. It's a lousy day. I'm quite sad as I had to say goodbye to my craft assistant. She will start working in the Law Office in Jakarta. She graduated from Law Faculty of UI. She deserves a better job. She had been working with me for 19 months. I like her cleverness. She is smart and could execute any crafts I asked her to make. She's also quick in arranging all craft kits for teaching. We cried together this afternoon while we were saying goodbye. Well. starting next week, I'll be missing her and I have to make the craft kits by myself. Ohlala...

By the way, the theme today is animal. I opened my stamp drawer and found this Penny Black stamp set. I chose this stamp, colored it. In real life, I wish I could have a dog. But the environment doesn't permit me to have one. I used paper from Prima called En Francais. The 'love this' sentiment is from Technic Tuesday.

This is it.

Do also hope for my luck to get a new assistant who is as capable as she is.

See you tomorrow, my friends..

ODOP - Day 22 - Whenever We're Apart

Hello friends,

Nothing much I can say this morning to you. I'm traveling to Jakarta to take my daughter. She wants to see the Anime Festival Asian. I just want to drop her there then I will go to a fabric store, etc. Lol

Today's theme for One Day One Project is Fairy. I have no physical stamp for fairy. But I have ever had a digital stamp from Delicious Doodle called Away With Bunnies. Unfortunately the store had closed down due to the European Law about selling digital stamps. So sad.  I used it once here on an ATC. I colored it with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Fiskars.

Fairy enough?

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends. See you on Monday...

Not much story for today. See you again tomorrow.

ODOP - Day 20 - Smile in Purplelicious

Hello friends,

It's Wednesday. Yipeee.. tomorrow is holiday. I can have free time with my daughters. So very glad. We already made some plans for tomorrow. They asked me to sew  kinchaku for each of them. They also have chosen the cloths they preferred. Ok..

Today's theme is purple. I made a card with MFT stamp. Still the same girl like yesterday, in different pose. The bow die cut is from Impression Obsession. The pattern papers are from Graphic 45: secret Garden.

I made this one below.

Then when I uploaded here, I noticed it didn't have a white paper before the first pattern paper. I wanted the white paper to make it a bit softer.

So I changed it a bit to this one.

Earlier, I made this one below on a smaller piece of white paper. But I wasn't satisfied. But I want you to see the double tape foam that I used. So neat. I love it.

A closer look on the bows.

 Happy purplelicious day, my friends...

ODOP - Day 19 - You Hold The Key To My Heart

Hi friends,

Here we go... Today is a red day for the project. I had a time to clean just a little my craft desk. And I returned all the clear stamps I used. And I found this stamp set from MFT. Wow! I think this rested there for long time. I love this pretty lady stamp. Since the theme is red, I also remembered that I had Martha Stewart paper pad, Valentine..and..and... I found the paper with the key pictures on it, and on the other side is love. The heart is from Tim Holtz die cut. Perfect!!

Here it is:

 Pictured from above.

 How do you like this?

ODOP - Day 18 - Something vintage

Hello friends..

I'm back to town. I spent 3 nights in Surabaya. I And as I mentioned previously, I bought a sewing machine. Yay!! So happy me. The brand is Janome. Before this brand, the shop offered me Singer. I know about Singer whole my life as my mom also Singer lover. But, I wanted something different. And I chose Janome. It cost me a lot, but worth it. Look at me..

Indeed, it is like a dream comes true. It was on the 19th of September, 4 months after my birthday, the 19th of May, after 19 years of marriage, I bought this precious sewing machine. I hope I could do more and share more knowledge to others.

I arrived around 3 in the afternoon and went straight to school for the craft sessions. There was a little problem that took my energy. But it was solved, anyway. And in the late afternoon, I needed to prepare myself for the radio. So I made this card after coming home from the radio, around 9 o'clock in the evening. Ohlala... And for the project today, it's about vintage.

These are the closer looks on the embellishments:

I hope it is vintage enough. Lol.. See you again tomorrow, friends.

ODOP - Day 17 - Long TIme No See

Happy weekend, my friends..

I am in Surabaya now. Just the two of us, with my DH. Here in Surabaya, I have lots of time. I can relax, doing nothing or even just watching TV. That's one thing I rarely do. One thing I enjoyed last night was eating 'kwetiau rebus' at my favorite restaurant. So yummy.. This morning at 9, my DH will go to his office because there will be a special event there. I will drop him to Gresik then I'll get back to Surabaya. I'll meet him again later after 3. I have a plan to look for a sewing machine. I mentioned this yesterday. I'll tell you my find later. I can't wait for that.. Wooot..wooot... Well, wish me luck..

Today's theme for ODOP is Friendship.  Actually, I have been thinking of the window die cut from MFT. But, I don't want to buy as the dollars are still high. And, come to think of it, I remember that I have a window die cut from Stampin Up. I have one, two or three. Yes, three different window die cut on one plat. I chose the biggest one. I cut the paper from "Gnome Sweet Gnome" from My Mind's Eye. Inside the window, I stamped the stick figures from Altenew on the white cardstock. But before that, I stenciled the diamond using Tim Holtz stencil and Shabby Shutter Distress Ink. The small dots and hearts were stamped using the Mama Elephant stamp from a London stamp set. The leaves are from Punch Bunch leave punch. The bird is from Stampin Up punch. The flowers were made by using a die cut from MFT. Finally I added some sequins and a punched heart.

Here we go...

I love how they turned out... So lovely.

I hope you agree, that everything on white is always adorable.. :D

PS: I'll be back on Monday morning. If you need anything from Surabaya, just let me know. :D

ODOP - Day 16 - Happy Birthday with Bling

Hello friends,

It's Friday and I'm about to go to Surabaya. The train leaves at 12.12 in the afternoon. I will spend 3 nights there. I visit my hubby and I have a plan to look for a sewing machine. Yes.. I'm so in love in sewing. Almost every night before sleeping, I open Youtube to learn all the things about sewing. I don't want to sew dresses. I want to sew accessories and daily need such as pillow cases, clutch, tote bags. etc. I will find the best sewing machine. I worked hard for this, especially on Jogja Japan Week 3 weeks ago. I earned so much that it is enough to buy the machine and fix the craft room. I asked the carpenter to make some short cupboard to accommodate everything. If you come here today, wow... everything is so messy. Lol..

Btw, the theme of the ODOP today is using bling bling. The card is so simple. I used the die cut from Stampin Up. The hexagon. I cut 3 times on 3 different papers. I added some blings from Kaiser Craft and Prima.

The sentiment is also from Stampin Up. I adore the 'birthday' word. It's inside an oval stamp. I only wanted the sentiment without the oval shape. So I colored the sentiment with ZIG Art & Graphic Twin. It took quite some time to dry. When I wanted to add the bling-bling, I accidentally touched the sentiment and touched other parts of the card. Oh my.... So I repeated making the new one. I just took what I could save.. Lol... Look at the mess I made on the card.

I think everything on white is always adorable. Right?

See you tomorrow. It will be another white card. I think.. :D

ODOP - Day 15 - Fun & Good Times - Beach

Meet again, friends..

Today I had a wonderful time with my students at school. The theme of the lesson was not so popular. It was about public transport. They were sitting in groups. There has always been 6 groups of four. The duration was 2.5 hours.. Phew.... In the middle there was a Listening. *they looked bored when I played the recording for the second time. I switched to distributing funny pictures. Then I continued with Chain Story. It was so much fun. Yes.. with my students, I always have fun time.

The theme for ODOP's theme today is beach. I remember the moment we had on the beach last July. It was a 'MOS' time for new students. I was asked to conduct some outdoor games. Yeah... It was sooo much fun. The games went so well that every student enjoyed the happiness. Before going back home, these two students asked to have a picture with me on the bridge. Indeed, we had fun and good times on the beach.

The pattern papers are from Simple Stories and Echo Park. I also adhered three washi tapes.

Smile.....

ODOP - Day 14 - Wherever You Go

Hello friends,

It's Wednesday. The theme for today is Paper Flower. My favorite theme. I love flowers.  This card carries so many famous brands for each thing on the card. This time I play with flower stamps from Stampin Up! They are from 3 different stamp sets. They also come with punches. The punches make the work easier. I just stamped and then punched. The ink pad was the new one from Hero Arts Shadow Ink: Fresh Peach (mid-tone). I love that color. The leave stamp was from Papertrey Ink. The word stamp was from Hero Arts. The die cut for the circle swirl was from Sizzix. The new one in my craft room. The pattern paper was from Doodle Designs. The four-petal flower punch was from Carla Craft. The sentiment was from Mama Elephant. See that, so many brands. They are my favorite ones.

Here is my creation:

I took several photos. These two were under the sunshine:

Hope you also enjoy the flowers around you.. :D

ODOP - Day 13 - Enjoy Little Things - Tea Time

Hi friends,

Today's ODOP is about Tea Time. The theme is from me. I was randomly chosen to give a theme. Hehehe. I like drinking tea and the theme suddenly  came to mind last weekend. I remember this ATC I made some years ago.

I made this project yesterday. I used a set of die cut: Bag, Tea Bag & Accessories from Where Women Cook by Sizzix. I used paper: Brown Damask from Eco Park. The tea itself was Lipton Tea. :D

I tried to make the pictures of the project. Ohlala... It took me 1 hour to come to the end of photo session. The first was on the edge of the swimming pool. But...oh,, it was soooo windy. Everything flew. And the green birds was getting so wet. I had to replace them.

Then I moved to the living room. I shot photos from several angles. Here are some of them.

Let's have some tea, everyone..

PS: the tea set was a special gift from GKI Sindanglaut, when I gave a presentation on how to become a Worship Leader. Thanks so much.
