OWOP 4 - Waterfall Photo Album

Hello friends,

It's nice to meet you again. A week passed, and today I want to post the last OWOP - One Week One Project for January. The project is anything waterfall, and the theme is still the same: family. I chose 21 pictures from our last holiday in Surabaya. You may see the shopping, the art and crafts, and the culinary.
I recycled a wedding invitation into a photo album with 3 waterfalls. It was a wedding invitation of my friend's son. You can see from the pictures below. The cover of the album was from brown velvet. So pretty and simple invitation cover.

This is the inside of the invitation.

I covered it with the paper from Teresa Collins. I used this kind of paper on the last project, too.

Then I started making the 'lock' for the waterfall.

The cover, it was so gold, which didn't suit to the paper I used inside. So I took it off and changed it later.

Now, about the album.

I tied the album with a semi-leather rope. The embellishments on the cover were all bought in the scrapbook store in Surabaya. It was not on purpose that I bought the sticker 'vacation' that could coordinate with the paper I used inside. It was the sticker from Pink Paisley. The flowers were from Prima Flowers. The chipboards were gifts from my friend. The lower part of the house chipboard was covered with spring Flower Soft. I colored them with Distress Ink. And the 'dec 2015' sticker was from Authentique.

I untied the rope like this.

And this is the look from the side. It looks bulky. Yes. That's why I gave a semi-leather rope to tie it.

This is the look when it is opened. There are 3 waterfalls. On the left side, there are 2 waterfalls, you can drag from the right and from the left. Each has 4 pictures. The upper one consists the pictures when we did some shopping. The below consists the pictures when we spent time to buy and do some art and craft.

On the right side, it has 13 pictures.

This is the charm I used to drag the paper. The charm was tied on the right and left sides with the twine.

Here are the words, phrases I used. They were from Authentique as well.

This is the look of the upper waterfall on the left page.

This one is the lower waterfall on the left page. Do you see me on the picture? Hehehe.. that was when I bought a vegetable leather in the leather store in Jl. Kramat Gantung.

And this one is the waterfall on the right page.

So, as a wrap, here is the grids of all of these....

I hope you enjoy viewing all the pictures here. Again, recycle is the smart thing to do in our life. And I have been doing recycling the wedding invitation for so many times. I even asked my students to do this activity during the Orientation Days in August 2014 and August 2015. Each year, they made 10 photo albums. So, in the school library (later), there will be 20 photo albums. I do really care about the memories. I also do care about recycling...

To recycle and to hold memories are the best friends in my craft room these days.. :D

Thank you for commenting.. Please do so.. :D
