Two Trees - Paper Tearing

Paper tearing is actually a simple craft to do. It is just tearing the paper and that's it. To get better result of the paper tearing, we can try two ways, after we moisten the preferred edges. First, we can tear the paper to our body direction and second to the reverse direction. See the different result. Both are pretty.

In this week Hero Arts challenge, I made the first paper tearing card for the challenge here.

Today, the urge came to me as my first ever paper tearing card came to my mind. I made this card in the year 2003. For the snowman, I used 3 different punches.

And today, I made this one, and now I used Hero Arts stamps to jazz up the grey card. I think it is much much different now.

Supplies:
Hero Arts Stamp : Holiday Dolls.

HA Stamps Lovers

Just few hours ago, we had this moment together. After 4-hour drive, I met Eva, Monica and Ayu in Bogor. We visited a scrapbook store, where we bought several PP. Really fun to be in this store.

Then we had lunch in a food court in the same building. We scattered finding the fight food for ourselves. I ate 'soto mi' and 'batagor'. Yummy.

Then, we went to Eva's house, where we shared our HA stamps. Each of us brought our stamps inventory. Wow!! Never thought that Eva has the most stamps among us. We stamped many images on white papers (and will bring home and make some cards later on). So many stamps, so many nestabilities, so many Cugglebug folders, that we didn't know where to start first... LOL.

We finally ended up in stamping images 'till the time we had to go back. It was a rare great moment to be able to share the stamps, giggle and enjoy each other's presence. Wish to have more time like this in the future...

(PS. : I made another 5 hours to go straight home)

The red and grey colors are in accordance with the colors of the baby stroller. Hope the mother and the baby to be are safe and sound until then.... Hero Arts ATC Swap

I Love Hero Arts. This time, I got a chance to join the ATC Swap. This is the first time for me to join a swap. Indeed, I am very glad.

Here, I have to make 10 identical ATC cards (2.5 " x 3.5"). I shall send 9 ATC cards to my hostest in USA, that is Shari Carroll....
I made the disain identically, but I colored each doll differently. This gave me a chance to combine colors (not really good at it, actually). I only have one Copic Marker at this time. Well, next time, I shall buy more Copic markers, as they are perfect to color stamp image.

Supplies:
Stamps : Hero Arts Holiday Dolls and Full of Sunshine, Digikit: Friendship.

Thank You Card

This is the card I made for the choir (who were my church friends, too, when I was in the same town with them) who sang the gospels in my Mom's 70th birthday party. My Mom asked me to make one for them, as she would include "something" inside the card..... Thanks, pals...

How to make: First, I stamped the Kanji with Tea Olive ink onto the off-white cardstock. Then I stamped the flower on the other card with pink ink, cut at the edge and adhere it with double foam tape. The sentiment was stamped on the cardstock and then was punched with a scallop punch. The notes were also punched.

I enter this card to join the challenge in the Cupkace Craft Challenge 60, for the first time, as I just found their blog (an inspiring blog...).

Thanks for looking.

Supplies:
Cardstock embossed with Cuttlebug Machine (3 kinds of folders)
Stamp : Hero Arts (sentiment "thinking of you) & Inkadinkado Doodle Flowers (for the flower)
Punch : Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch

Thanks for looking, my friends...

Paper Piecing - thanks for all you do

This week HA challenge, paper piecing, is actually quite similar to Oshie. In Oshie, we need to cut part by part of the image and then wrap it with the patterned paper. While in paper piecing, we just cut it and adhere it. This is quite challenging for me, as it needs accuracy in cutting, and moreover, it needs neatness.
This is the front card.

Take a closer look at the mathryoska paper doll here. I used Chirimen paper which originally is from Japan.

For the inside of the card, I used my newest stamp. It just arrived the other day. Dot Flourish from Hero Arts. And I also stamped the sentiment.

Happy Birthday Sista

Today is my loving sister's birthday. I sometimes depend on her advice on family living. Here is a card for her. The background is embossed (with Cuttlebug Muchine). The edge of the white cardstock is punched with MS punch. I used my Tea Leaves ink pad on the embossed image.
The flowers was stamped in three ink colors, then I used colored pencil.
The sentiment is from HA stamp.
Hope she likes it. happy birthday, sister Irma...

Hi There - ATC

Hi there,
It's been long time not posting anything, as I forgot the email address of this blog :(
This is my first ATC card. At first I didn't know exactly what ATC meant. My flickr friends explained it to me so dearly. Thanks a lot. I joined the Hero Arts Challenge for ATC. I made three ATCs.

So, below is the second one.

I adore hibiscus and orchids. They are so colorful and beetween easy and difficult to take care of. Once, my quilling friend offered many flower punches, I was no in doubt to order. This punch-Moth Orchid- is the one I love much. I put this orchid paper on the ATC. At the back of the orchid, a magnet was attached. So, after getting the ATC, the orchid can be the decoration on the fridge door.
