Day 61 - Always show your true Colors - Yes, Virginia, I'm really inspired!

Hello friends,

Today is the last day of May. It's also the end of the challenge I conduct in my facebook account. I really love all the creations they made. The theme was: birthday card with no image stamping, for a 45-year-old lady..which is me... lol.. New sponsors proposed their goodies for all participants. I'm sooo thrilled.

Onto the title. What's your color? I love all colors, but particularly I love aqua blue, or something like a turquoise. But in daily life, I mostly wear white. ;D

Today, before May is over, I managed myself to make this card. The theme was hanging on my mind for the last several days. I kept trying to figure out what to adorn the white card stock. I am really inspired by the challenge that Virginia holds. Look at the picture her daughter took. So lovely!! It reminds me of my violin case which is dark blue, quite boring. I wish I could find orange violin case.. lol..

Earlier this afternoon, I got this die cut out from Nova, who is one of the sponsors for the challenge. Wow! They are adorable. I don't have such die cut. So, with no hesitate, I made this card. Fortunately, coming along with these cage die cut out was the free scoop sentiment stamp!! Ohh, what else can make me feel so glad today.. So suitable.

Supplies: Cage die cut out, MFT sentiment clear stamp, distress ink.

The closer look on the cages.

And this is my violin case, that blue one...Can it be orange??

I started learning violin in September 2011. I am a newbie, right? Lol.

Challenges:

Well, that's all for now. Thank God that we can end May beautifully. Let's welcome June tomorrow with more original creativity, with more happiness and fun. May The Lord shower His blessings to you abundantly..

Big hugs,

Day 60 - Have A Fantastic Day - CFAS Challenge - Many Layers + the winner

Hello friends,

"If I hadn't joined any women's organization, I could have made more creations every day".

That's the unreal conditional sentence. Hehehe.. Yes, I just did some review for the radio listeners on this lesson. I hope they do understand my explanation in the air. Last Monday was the 250th lesson. Can you imagine that I've been in the air for 250 times, not mentioning the quiz times? I love that job. I've been doing it for more than 5 years and I always have materials to teach. I thank The Lord for always giving me "hints" whenever I make a script.

Ok, that's about English Corner in the air. Now onto the CFAS Challenge. This fortnight, you have a chance to make Many Layers on your creation. This is what I do on the image given by Just Some Lines. So many adorable digis there. Check it out. I found this little girl with the gift box beside her and a cute "gug gug" inside the box.

Supplies: Just Some Line - Jessi and Gift , Hero Arts sentiment stamp, Copic Sketch markers

When I did the layering, I remember about the Papertole that my friend and I made some years ago when I was still in Kalimantan. Look at the pictures below. On the second picture, you can see the layers that we did; FIVE layers! It took almost a month to make this Papertole painting. But the result is awesome. I have another 2 Japanese ladies with this papertole, but I haven't framed them.

Ok, now onto the winner of CFAS bloghop, check here.

And in my blog, the winner of the clear stamp and some die cut is : Colleen; where the winner for the twines is : Gabriele, who timidly could guess my age.. (in my country, it's fine to know someone's age..). And a special gifts for my Indonesian friends: Farika and Yosephine who played along. Congratulations, ladies..
Please send your snail mail to my email address: dwita_crafter@yahoo.com within a week.
Thanks so much for viewing this post and your lovely comment... ;D

Day 59 - Have A Fantastic Day

Hello friends,

How's your Monday morning? Still feeling lazy? Like this hedgie? Well, sometimes wo feel that way when we had fabulous weekend and we want a prolonged Sunday. LOL. It's my morning again in the craft room. After the busy week the last whole week, creating something really makes my day. I made 4 cards in a row for the DT submissions. Done.

So, here is my card.

Supplies: Stamp Lazy Day from Penny Black, sentiment Hero Arts, Copic Sketch markers.

Hedgie is really cute, right?  Seeing Tilda from Magnolia in almost all my friends' blogs really makes me bored. No,no,no. I don't get bored with Tilda. Nope. I love her. However, my eyes need to see something else. I found this stamp in the drawer and thought how many times I ever used this. Once, twice? I think I still can count.. Just twice including this card. LOL.

Ok then, hope you have a good start of the week, my friends... The Lord bless you and keep you.

Day 58 - Heartfelt Wishes ATC Challenge

Been MIA again for almost a week. What a hectic week for me. I did some things which were not routines. So tiring and I am exhausted. The only cure has been being in the craft room. Yes, indeed, every day this week, after those activities, I recover myself from the tiredness by sitting on my chair in the craft room and made something or finished the scrapbook albums.

Anyway, this is the ATC as for challenge in ATC's and Cards With Attitude #14 - Anything Goes

This is the closer look on the image:

Go to the blog and find the first of the group of DT showcases. Mine will be shown next Friday, but I post it, anyway, tonight.

Happy weekend, everyone.

Day 57 - Let's Eat Cake - a birthday card

Hip..hip..hurray...

Celebrate my own birthday by making this card for myself.. LOL...
Yes, it's my birthday today. And you still have a chance to guess my age by giving comment here and get the prize.

I have lots of dreams. Some of them have come true. Some are on the way (I'm sure about that). I really thank God for letting those things happen in my life. Having a wonderful husband and lovely three angels (who adore ballet so much). Just take a look at the pic of me and my family. Love them all.

Yet, I still need to accomplish some other dreams. I want most kids know the wonderful world of crafting. I want them to know more crafts than the ones they learn at school as a compulsory subject. I want them to feel the fun and the joy in making crafts. For this, I have a particular dream of establishing "a place" for kids as well as teens, adults, parents, nannies, and even teachers. I do really hope this dream can be true in reality. What do you think?

That's all about my dreams. Now onto the card. Just a simple one. I used this image from MFT. This is the first time I used this image. And look at the girl or lady (?) bringing the cake. I used to have those kind of legs. Hehehe.. just when I was younger and slimmer..

Supplies:MFT a la mode Time To Celebrate, Glossy Accent, Copic Sketch markers

In reality, no cakes this big for today. LOL.. Just biiiig hugs and kisses from my kids and hubby. That means so much to me. I think the celebration will be on dinner. Just the five of us, eating something we love. Pizza??

Ok, friends. Until then.

Day 56 - Hello Friend

Happy Friday

...and happy long weekend for my friends in Indonesia. Yesterday, Thursday, was the ascension of Christ, and it's a holiday. And this Friday, the short day i a week is presumably holiday, too. And tomorrow, Saturday, is of course a holiday for most of us. And Sunday, free day for everybody. So, it's a long weekend, right?

Me? Everyday is a holiday. LOL.. Yesterday and today, I'm still cleaning the craft room. You know, I always do crafts between times of being a mother and being a crafter. A very short time. So, occasionally, after making cards or a layout, I don't clean the table, because I must go home soon. And since I have 4 free-day in a row, it's time to tidy up and redecorate.

I managed to make an ATC this morning. Making ATCs sometimes doesn't ask us to use too many embellishments. I love the blue colors of Copic. It's B91, B93, B95, B97. Adorable blues.. Look at this Tilda. She is wearing the jeans that I used to wear when I was still teenager. I looked like a 'howdy' girl..

Day 54 - Fear Not; I will help thee

Hi friends,

I was just invited to join a challenge by Karen, who gave comment on my post. I opened the blog challenge and found this challenge blog: wordartwednesday.blogspot.com. It gives us a chance to download the phrase from the Bible. Amazing. With no hesitation, I printed the verse and made this card. I put some butterfly punch outs here and there. These paper butterflies are the leftover from making 40 memorable photo frame of the reunion. I think most of you know that I adore butterfly. I mean, paper butterfly. ;D

This is my card.

Supplies: Hero Arts background, Twinery twine, EK butterfly border punch

Challenges:

Thanks for viewing my card and for your lovely comments.. Happy Monday, everyone.

Hopefully there are more and more educated children all over Indonesia, more educated teachers, and more success to come. Thanks for letting me be one of your "sources" in giving craft workshop throughout this country. Thanks for letting me go to 25 cities in 35 workshops. Adorable and fruitful experiences for me myself.

Day 51 - Thanks for Mom

Hello friends,

Happy Friday!

Yesterday I got two boxes of gifts from my crafter friends. They are the sponsors for the challenges I hold in my facebook account. Wow! It's really a surprise. Niken sent me a handmade daisy flower. The flower was punched and using white metallic card stock. And fortunately, Nova sent the goodies, the die cut outs, in black metallic. They are perfect match, right. So, I decided to make this card using all the goodies.

What do you think? I love the black background on the ivory. Black is not always bad on a card. It looks that the black background really strengthens the flowers. Adorable. Thanks, Niken and Nova. I'm sending this for my Mom. She deserves the beauty of the nature for always listening to my stories (any stories..)

The closer look on the flowers:
Ok, then, hope you have a wonderful weekend. It has started, right? Me? Every day is a weekend.. LOL...

Day 50 - We Make A Perfect Fit

Hi friends,

I spent the morning by having a meeting with some friends. We are going to hold an anniversary celebration. We talked a lot about the money that we are going to use. Woohooo. I, actually, don't really like meeting this way. I like personal approach in doing things. Well, different meadow, different butterfly, right? I must follow the rules.

After that, I went to my craft table and spent the rest of my morning by making this card. I used the button stamp 8 colors of DI.

Supplies: PTI button stamp and sentiment stamp; Spellbinder ribbon tag, Distress Ink pads

The closer looks:

And now, it's time for me to practice music, as today is the music course day. Wel..well.. am I a good student? Practicing just few hours before the course time? Don't follow me for this...LOL

Day 49 - You're Sew Special

Hi friends,
What is a special thing in your life? Me, it's a friendship. I love making friends everywhere. I love talking to them, or just sitting together and having a cup of tea. I even made friends with new young crafters when I visited the biggest Indonesian Craft Exhibition called Inacraft, last Thursday. They were so friendly and willing to share their knowledge of the crafts they made. Lovely new friends. I shall visit them if I have a chance to teach in their cities.

I made this tag, because I want to share this with my friend who loves sewing. And this Bugaboo's image seemed so fit for this. Doesn't it remind you of Mr. Bean's fave bear doll? LOL...

I know, I resize the image quite bigger than the tag. But, finally, I feel that this is just fine. The flower itself is a handmade one. I love making flowers from papers. I have watched so many tutorials on Youtube. And this technique is the one I adore so much. You can see the tutorial that I did long time ago in my Multiply account here.

This is my DT submission for the CFAS #26 challenge: Handmade Flower. Please go to the blog here and join the challenge. It's just a simple challenge that most of us can make. Put your handmade flower on anything you can find; a card, a box, a paper bag, etc. Then submit your own creation within these two weeks. It's sponsored by Bugaboo.
7 digital stamps for the winner.

Supplies: Bugaboo's digi stamp: Sewing Bears - Thread, Basil card stock for flower, Paper Shaper Flower punch, Hero Arts digital sentiment stamp, Glimmer Mist Bubbles, Copic sketch markers

I love paper piecing. I did to the head of the bear.

And this is the closer look on the flower. It's so easy to make. I sprayed it with Glimmer Mist Bubbles. Just click the link I mentioned above and you'll find the tutorial.

Challenge:

Hope you enjoy your friendships with everyone. Be positive in everything you do..

Hugs,

Dwita
