Merry Moose-mas

HAVE A FABULOUS CHRISTMAS
AND
A FANTASTIC CREATIVE NEW YEAR

to all of you and yours (everywhere you are)

Below is my last card to join the challenge this year. So, see you next year with more creative works and fruitful friendship. Love you all..

======

Once I saw this digi stamp, wow... It's really soooooooo cute... Thanks to Nina for this digi and the sketch for this week challenge. Nina has her own store, where you can find her digis. It is called Paper Cupcakes.

Here is my take on the sketch and the digi stamp for this TMITA Magical Monday challenge.

I printed this image 3 times. Why? Because I used paper piecing technique for the scarf and the antlers. I also cut the head and adhered on the scarf. For the rope of the small star, I cut thinly the blue navy paper. And the hat is with a purple pompom. The stars are now the double snowflakes with blue and mango colors. The sentiment is from Hero Arts, Holiday Dolls.

The closer look to see the paper piecing.

Here is the sketch given by Danielle . Isn't it a pretty sketch?

Thanks for looking..

Tilda Celebrate

Well, another Tilda stamping... I love this image, she is holding a heart. I used CB folder Swiss Dots (my favorite folder ever) for these 4 color cardstocks. The card is a pale pink, stamped with Hero Arts stmap: Flourishes. The flower is 2 Daisies, punched with Carl Giga Punch. For the little rounds on the right side, I used pale pink gemstones.

She is so cute, isn't she?

I enter this card to join Friday Sketchers #83. I like the sketch. Thanks Aud for hosting this week challenge. Here is the sketch.

Celebrate Tilda Swing

I love love love Tilda. I think I'm in love with Tilda stamps.... But I didn't have any Tilda stamps until I won the random card. Then I chose Tilda Summer. And one day, I gave comment in one blog, saying that her cards were adorable with Tilda on them. I said to her, how lovely having TIlda stamps. Then she replied, telling me that it is ashamed not having Magnolia stamps. She asked my home address... And voila!! She sent me a bunch of Tilda images. So lovely... Thank you Mandy... So, here is one creation using one of them. Love her so much....

This card was made for Olene, the most genius child in our country (will be 2 years next Jan 1). Oma Ayung asked me to make this card for her. Go Olene go.. to Sidney for International competition... All the best..

Isn't she soooo cute?

I used my coloring pencils to color Tilda. The card was embossed with CB folder Happy Birthday. The scalloped oval was stamped with Hero Arts Flourishes.

My friend "published" me in her blog....

Somewhere in the early of year 2006, I joined "Multiply". At first I was a bit confused what name I should use for this Multiply. So I use "kartucantik" which means beautiful cards. In my own Multiply, I uploaded so many images of the cards that I ever made. I also gave some tutorial for my very own contacts. I have lots of friends with the similar interest, making cards.. That's the interesting part of all.

One of these friends is Hany. She is an Indonesian who married to an American, and they live happily in Claremont, NH, USA. This is her Multiply. Take a look at it. And now, she has her blog in the blogspot. She loves publishing her friends. I was the first that she published. You can read what she wrote about me here.
I just saw it and read it.... LOL... (red cheeks now..), then you know me more.... LOL...

Happy reading, everyone...

Teaching "clay" to Kinder Teachers

Since last February 2009, I was assigned by Erlangga Book Publisher (Erlangga For Kids 2) to teach "clay dough" to Kinder and Playgroup teachers in the island of Java. I travelled to several cities (some of them the big ones).

Last Thursday, I was in Madiun, 8-hour train traveling from my town. I was teaching how to make "clay dough" to more than 250 Kinder teachers in that town. This was my eleventh time teaching "clay dough" this year.

Here are the pics.

This is the banner to welcome everybody.

This is how I give the theory of making the "clay cough". I always use slides. The participants sit in groups.

I always come to each group to see what they have been doing. And this is their best result.

It is a wonderful time for me to share what I have. I give and share what I have in me. What I have is my talent in crafting.

Thanks for reading my story and looking at the pics.....

A Giving Card

In Indonesia, when there is a celebration (wedding, birthday, etc), we tend to give money rather than a present. I made this kind of cards more than I knew, but no pics of them. I made this one for my assistants, who help me a lot in my craft gallery.

The front card

Inside the card and the closer look on the "purse"

All of them

I enter this card for Hero Arts Challenge. I used the cling: CG 115 - Thank You and for the sentiment, I used clear stamp Thanks For All You Do.

And also Stamp With Fun with the the challenge: Little Present. So the present is inside the card.

TMITA Recipe Challenge

Nina in her The Magic Is In The Air holds this challenge. Love to join this challenge, as it gives us a chance to copy the digi kit. Ow... the mouse stands so bravely.. So cute digi kit. Great recipe, Nina... Love it.

The recipe for this challenge includes:
1 tag
2 textures
3 pattern papers
4 pieces of ribbon
5 brads or 5 buttonsI colored the cupcake and the mouse with Copic Sketch markers. The paper patterns are on the tag, on the bottom part of the cupcake and on the green rectangle. The background of the cupcake was stamped with pink ink. Four ribbons are tied on a checked ribbon. I don't have round brads. I use these star brads, instead.

Take a look on the closer catch. I did paper piecing on the cupcake. It has 4 parts : the top cake, the "love", the bottom with polkadot pattern paper and the ribbon. I love doing this paper piecing.
Hope this meets the challenge...

Thanks for stopping by..

It is so much fun... to join this blog hop.

With My Students: Cooking and Crafting

Today is the last day having an English course in my gallery. I have 14 students of elementary school, learning English with me. Three in the first grade, five in the third grade and six in the fourth grade. Once a month, we have a crafty time. The theme is according to the lesson taught. Once a semester, we have cooking time. Today, I combined those two activities, cooking and crafting. My driver picked 9 of them in their school (different from my DDs' school), then dropped in my house. Then we started making the cake, a simple one.

The recipe: 250 gr flour, 250 sugar, 250 gr margarine, 5 eggs, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp vanilla powder. How to : mix sugar and margarine, until a bit white. Pour 5 yolks and mix, then the baking powder and the vanilla powder. On the other bowl, stir the egg white until stiff, then mix together with the dough. Then pour in the aluminum baking pan. Bake in 175 degree for around 40 minutes.

Making the cake. Sugar, flour, eggs were poured by each of them. So, sugar was poured in 20 spoons!!

While the cake was in the oven, they made a Christmas card, using stamps, punches and colored pencils. There was a "Snowmen" from Hero Arts; Santa, X'mas Tree and Angel from PSX. Punches from Carla and Paper Shaper

Look!! They are very serious in coloring the stamped images... They love the Snowmen...

Almost finish...............................and.....................tadaaa........here are our cards.......
(forgot to picture each of them)

Lunch from Wendy's...........................and.............here is the cake....hmm..so yummy....

Each of them got 2 pieces....... Before going home, play "We wish you a Merry Christmas"

See you in January 2010, my little fellows...

(PS. I love my life as a crafter, that I can share my I can to these little fellows. Who knows, some day they can be DT or owner of the craft store......Amen..)

Thanks for looking...
