Embossed Background

Hello friends,

Today I was making this card. I used a sketch from CAS (E) Sketch .Challenge #405. So I grabbed three embossing folders to make a little 'crowded' ambiance. Hehehe.. what do you call it? A little crowded? ;))
The embossing folders were from Cuttlebug and Sizzix. Well, I collect tons of embossing folders and die cuts and punches. Those tools really enable me to make cards efficiently. I save my time.

And the color scheme, I took it from Sunday Stamps Challenge 249. Such warm colors.

Here is the card.

I used stamps from Simon Says Stamp for those marching band kids. So cute. I colored them with Copic markers.

Here is the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #425:

And the color scheme is from Sunday Stamps Challenge #249:

I hope you enjoy my card.

Square Background

Hello friends,

Today I played with the embossing folder from Cuttlebug. A square one. And again, I tried the new die cut that I have. Actually it is not new because I bought it in 2018. But it is the first time I used them. It is a set from Altenew.

Here is my card.

I enter this card to join Daring Cardmakers challenge: You're so Square. Since it is a birthday card, I enter this to join the challenge by Cute Card Thursday Challenge 670 - Birthday

This is the closer look of the flower.

It is from this set from Altenew. What we need are only several cardstock. For one rose, at least we have 3 gradual colors. So is for the leaves.

Hope you enjoy my card.

ATC Leaves and Sentiments

Hello friends,

Here I'm back after more than a hectic week doing this and that.
My friend conduct an ATC swap. Each of us has to make 5 ATCs. I used Simon Says Stamp Nature Stamps to make the leaves. I stamped them with Versamark ink and poured the embossing powder and heated them. I die cut them one by one using Simon Says Stamp die cut set called Nature. And then I did my adorable activity: watercoloring. I used Tombow dual brush, applied the ink on an acrylic pad, then I used the small brush to apply the color to the images. Love it. The sentiments are from Altenew.

Here they are, one by one:

This is the set of the stamp and die cut from Simon Says Stamp. They are versatile to use in any occasions.
I enter this to join the challenges: Incy Wincy Design Challenge - Anything Goes and Dies R Us Challenge DRU Challenge #161.

Hope you enjoy the beauty of these ATCs.

Thought of You

Hello friends,

Today I craved the stamp storage for Penny Black. I found several new slapstick stamps. Most of them were flower stamps. I bought them 2 years ago when I travelled to Singapore. No Penny Black stamps sold in my country.

Then I thought on how to use them. I grabbed the watercolor markers, colored the stamp and the result was not satisfying. Then I took another cling stamp, just trees and two love birds. I used the green watercolor markers for the tree and the red one for the birds. For this kind of stamping, I always use watercolor paper from Canson. Quite thick, 300 gr. The sentiment is from Altenew, punched with Stampin Up oval scallop punch. Here is my card.

It is very simple. I know. I still need to find the best mojo in me to make a little crowded card. :)

Here is the closer look on the colors.

I used the stamp below.
A Little Secret Stamp

It is just a simple card. Yes, I adore clean and simple card. I enter this card to join the challenge Anything Goes or Something New in this month challenge in Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
And also to enter Addicted to Stamps Challenge with the theme CAS for Any Occasion.

I shall try again with other Penny Black slapstick stamp some other day. It needs a little patience, I guess. ;))

Hope you enjoy my very simple card.

Key To My Heart

Hi friends,

Now it is a chance to visit My Favorit Things. It is one of the brands that I adore so much. I visited the blog last weekend and found there has been still a challenge. It is a sketch challenge. Well... after so many years, joining a challenge with a sketch is really something. At first, I wanted to die cut several cardstock to form the rectangles. But I couldn't find the rectangle die cut in its place. Then, I searched the rectangle stamps. I think I forgot how it looked like. ;))

Finally, I used the dual brush watercolor marker. I used a brush to paint the rectangles in 2 colors. While waiting it to dry, I stamped this pretty lady and colored it with Copic markers. Wow... it took some time to imagine the colors and how to color it. Here is the card.

And this is the sketch from Wednesday Sketch Challenge in MFT.

I pictured the card from the front and the closer look of the pretty lady.

Hope you like the card.

Love,
Dwita.

I'm Lucky To Have You

Hi,

Hello Hero Arts. Long time no see. Here I'm back again, after soooo long. Hero Arts was the first brand that my friends and I adored for the stamps. It was the era of Flickr. I had plenty sets of stamps, mostly the old ones. But, I think, the stamps are versatile, and not out-dated.

Yesterday, I checked all the blogs I saved here, and found Hero Arts blog. Then today I saw the monthly challenge. So, why not? ;)  I wanted to join, but what I have is only one heart die cut and stamps. I tried to use them as the theme for the challenge is Include A Heart. I made this card. I cut the heart, but I still kept several pieces of the negative of the die cut. I embossed the white cardstock with Heart theme folder from Cuttlebug. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant, and the die cut You is from Papertreyink.

But before that card, I remembered I have the butterflies stamp set. It is an old one. Do you still have this?

I stamped 4 butterflies on the white card with Versamark, and gave white embossing powder and heated. Just an ordinary technique. I die cut a white heart and the rest is the same. This is the first card.

I was not really fond of it, so I made the one on the top. ;) The butterflies seed too crowded as the background.. hehe..

Well, anyway, it feels good to be back on the blog. I do hope I can maintain my wishes to continue my journey as a card maker.

I hope you enjoy my cards. Stay safe and healthy.

Love,
Dwita

Sending Hugs

Hello friends, It is 2021. Happy New Year to you all. Hope it's not too late to say that. Well.. I challenge myself to continue my journey as a card maker. I came across to this challenge and would like to join the challenge. This is my first card of this year. I need to send one to a friend who just lost her daughter. For the card, I used Altenew 3D Rose Fluries die. It is not the newest die cut of Altenew. I had it two years back, and I just got a chance to use it. I needed to use several colors of pink to make the roses. Here is my card.
This is the closer look on the flowers.
And, for this year, I want to start joining card challenges again. Wow.... it's been years that I didn't join any card challenges. Many things happened along the way. I even posted only once for three years in a row. :) The last time I did write in my other blog, perhaps, in 2014. The blog of the journey of teaching at school. I finished teaching at school in 2017.

For this time, I enter this card to join the CTS #403 from Case(e) This Sketch. It is Donna Mikasa's turn.

I also enter this to the Cute Card Thursday: Anything Goes.

Yes, I adore clean and simple cards. I made many simple cards these past 4 years, but didn't upload in this blog. Oh.. I miss blogging. I wish to be able to continue joining card challenges, and do writing in this blog. Good to see you all, again.

Hope you enjoy this very first card of the year 2021.. ;)

Love,
Dwita
