Will You Be Mine?

Hello friends,

Happy Valentine's Day.

February 14 is the love day, we may say. Some people specially celebrate it with the loved one(s). Some just make cards or creations about love. This year, as the pandemic continues, it is not easy for us to get together in the restaurant. Most of us spend the day with the family at home. We also do. We do some sports together, and eat our favorite food.

For me, love is not only on Valentine's Day. It should be every day in our lives. We need to love our friends and woes. No matter who the person is, the gender or even the preferences.

This card was made last week and joined the challenge my friend made. The idea was to gather again the Indonesian card makers, to encourage all of us to create the beauties through cards or ATCs. This time there were 2 choices: CAS or Mixed Media. I chose CAS, as it is my favorite style.

I love the hedgehogs from Penny Black to be on my card. Just simply stamped it and colored it. The scene was so cute, as the sentiment went along perfectly. The pattern paper, on the left was under the white cardstock, was to make it a little bit alive, with the coordinating colors with the image's colors.

Cards to Comfort

Hello friends,

I hope everyone stays safe and healthy. This pandemic season, whatsoever, needs us to take care more of ourselves. We need to pay attention to the intake: food and drink. Even, we need more vitamins than ever. And also not forgetting the to have sports every day.

Well, yesterday, four people passed away because of some diseases, heart attack, stroke, and kidney failure. I was so sad because one of them was the hubby of my friend. He was quite young to go to heaven. They live quite far from my place. So I decided to send the condolence cards.

I used pattern papers from Kaiser Crafts. The feather die cut is from Quickutz. I also used some punches from Stampin Up. Well, for so many times, punches are easier that die cuts. But I love die cutting as well.

I do hope my friends will feel loved receiving the card from me.

Hope you enjoy my cards.

Color Challenge

Hi friends,

Today is the 9th of February. How February flies so fast. The weather is not so friendly these days. Usually in February I catch flu. This time, I need to be more cautious, to be more attentive to my health. Well.. hope you all stay safe and healthy.

I made this card based on the color challenge of MFT Color Challenge 159: Lemon Chiffon, Sour Apple, Grapesicle and Gravel Gray. For me, the names of the colors are not so familiar. I needed to check several time the papers that I have with the color appeared in the MFT Blog. ;))

Here is my card. Yes, I know, it is an old image. I mean, it was published long time ago. It's been a couple years that I don't buy MFT stamps, due to the high amount of money for the Customs that I should pay when I buy stamps from the USA. So, I keep using the stamps that I have in my drawer.

And this is the colors that I need to follow.

It's quite interesting to make a card based on the colors given. It is really challenging. Before that card, I used the gray background as you can see in the card below.

Which one looks good in your eyes? ;))

Thanks for viewing my card.

Dwita

Love Is In The Air

Hello friends,

February is quite well-known as the month of pink, red, and love. I love making cards this month, because I can use the heart die cut and the love sentiment stamps that stay quite long in the drawer. ;))

My card base is red, then I added the white cardstock which was embossed, then I adhered the heart die cut from Impression Obsession (Floral Lace Heart). I stamped a round sentiment: Love is in the air Ferbuary 14 from MFT. I die cut love which was actually from lovely die cut of Heidi Swapp. Then finally I added several red hearts that I cut from a background die cut.

Here is the closer look on the sentiment stamp:

Feel Better

Hello friends,

In Indonesia, February is known as the rainy season. Almost every day, the rain is falling. And in the city where I live, these days, it is windy and cold. Especially in the morning.

And as you also know, the pandemic is still here. My friend got the virus, as well as her hubby. Both of them are still hospitalized in the capitol city, 3-hour distance from my city. They just lost the mother of the hubby. So sad.

To comfort her, I made this card. I used MFT stamp. I colored the image with Copic markers. I am going to send it on Monday.

I did a paper piecing for the umbrella. I stamped the umbrella on a pattern paper, cut it and adhered it on the image.

I love how the ground turned out. I used Copic markers.

Hope you enjoy my card and the details.
