Day 73 - Delightful

Hello friends,

I want to tell you that some time ago, my friend Ayu, posted a picture of ombre cake on her portable. I was inspired to make a card based on the picture. The color gradation of the cakes was sooo pretty. I've never seen any cakes like those. This is the picture of the cakes.

And this is the card I made based on that picture.

Source: Tilda Daisies & Mushrooms, PTI Filigree border die, SU! tag punch, Carla butterfly punch, Copic markers: R81, R83, R85 for the pinks; and B91, B93, B95, B97, for the blues.

Well, we are inspired by any things in our surroundings. I wish to make a green one later on, if I can find in my drawers, the green markers.

Okay, then, my friends. Happy Sunday to you all...

Day 72 - (a bag of) Thanks

Hi peeps,

It's Friday noon. I just made this oval bag with pattern papers. It seems that in this half week, my mood is using stamp on pattern papers. They directly make the creations pretty (in my eyes.. lol). It saves time and my energy.

Source: Hero Arts Flower stamps, Bo Bunny p.p., SU! tag punch, PTI bag die and sentiment stamp

I like cutting papers. Do you know the best trick to make the result of the cutting so smooth? It's easy. The hand which holds the scissors is the one that DOESN'T move. The hand that holds the paper is the one that moves. Hope it makes sense. Just give it a try.

This creation is an example for July Challenge that I am holding now in my Facebook account. Check it out here.

Happy weekend, my friends..

Day 71 - Sending You Lots of Hugs

Hai friends, meet again.

I took a short vacation to Batam Island and then crossed the bay to Singapore. I, actually, accompanied DH who had a meeting in Batam Island. I never expected to meet the ladies who are my friends, too. They also joined their DHs. So, with no hesitation, we went to Singapore by a ferry. We visited Universal Studio Singapore. Only in the outside. We didn't wish to go inside and enjoy the games. Noooo!

My friends just followed me to go to "Spotlight", a craft store in Plaza Singapura. That's all the store I could visit that day. On the following day, I went to SG with DH. Just the two of us. We had a wonderful time being together. That's "our time" that we've missed for almost 6 months.. Hehehe.. I, of course, "forced" ourselves to visit JDA and Art Friends. I bought some stamps in JDA, and most of all I love my new Zutter!! Ohlala, I finally have this tool. I had been dreamin' for this for almost a year. And the good thing, Zutter was in promo!! Only SIN$ 99 for all, incl. the book and the bag. Lovely!

Before leaving Batam Island, Kiki Emeralda visited me. We exchanged some goodies, and I love her tea bag folding card. You know, it's good to have friend (s) wherever we go. In Singapore, I failed to meet Sylvia Chua, my Flickr friend. But she really helped me with all the MRT ways to go everywhere. Moreover, she helped me finding the best store to buy SLR camera!

Back to Jakarta, I visited Kinokuniya and bought a card magazine. I was inspired by a card in the magazine, Card Maker, and this morning I managed myself to a little imitate it. This is my card.

Supplies: SU! flower stamps & leaf die cut, Hero Arts sentiment, p.p.

The flowers are from scraps. Since I was not in the mood of coloring, so stamping on pattern paper is a solution. Quite quicker and easier with good result.

A little imitation is okay and fine, I think, as long as we mention where we find the original one. The flowers are quite different. Because in the magazine, it used Hero Arts flower stamps. So, what else are you waiting for? Try to use all you have and create something. For me, there is no words such as "I can't". Everyone can do something if he/she wants to.

Challenge for the card:
Divas by Design #44 - Anything Goes
Shopping Our Stash Weekly #60 - Precious (the left scraps that I have no more)
The Craft Place Challenge: Anything Goes

Ok, then. Enjoy your day and keep creating.

Hello friends,

Meet again. It's the second Friday of the month.  It's time for ATC Challenge. This is my submission for DT in ATC's With Attitude. The theme is SUMMER HOLIDAY. Be home soon for summer holiday. The scene: the house has been painted with summer colors... ;D.. The digital stamp is from Fresh Brewed Designs called My Neighbourhood.

Supplies: Digital stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs, Hero Arts tree stamp and sentiment, Copic sketch markers.

Don't hesitate to join the challenge. ATC is not that difficult. And digital images seem perfect for ATC, because it can be resized as you wish.

See you next week.

Day 69 - CFAS DT - Want To Share?

Here is my submission for the DT in CFAS. The theme is ICE CREAM.. Hmm, so suitable for this school break holiday. My kids really enjoy Magnum. Me? Love that Magnum Almond. But for the kind of ice cream like in the card, I love love love love Pistachio Almond. Ohhh, so yummy...

Supplies: PTI Ice Cream dies, MFT sentiment stamp, Copic Sketch markers, Bazill card stock

Hope you enjoy your ice cream during this summer. That's the most thing we love to have, isn't it?

Have fun, friends...

Day 68 - ATC #17 DT : Wait a minute

I missed to submit my creation for the previous ATC With Attitude Challenge. I was really hectic with so many things. Going to have a school break with the kids this year didn't make me happy. Oops.. hope my Dds don't hear this. Hehehe.. Well, that's because I took another request to teach. That's the main point, I guess. I should have not taken any requests to do anything on holiday. I promise you, kids..

For ATC DT, I used an image from Sassy Studio Design called French maid. She's so sexy...tehe.. I scened it as if she were jumping from a fence chasing someone out there. I added the sentiment "Wait A Minute" from Hero Arts.

Source: Image from Sassy Studio, MS grass punch & fence, Copic: V15, V17, E37, E39, R 81, R83, R85.

How's that? I love this image... And again, I can't stop doing the piecing on any digital images.. Look at the green duster. I did piece it.

Have fun...

Day 67 - CFAS #30 DT Card: Patriotic

It's for CFAS #30. The theme is Patriotic/Military/Fireworks.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts. The mouse's head and tail were pieced. Cute, isn't it?

Happy Independence Day, 4th of July, to all my American friends.. Let the freedom be used to praise The Lord...

Day 66 CFAS DT Card: Father's Day

It's CFAS time. And this is my card : FOR MAN. Love the image. The sponsors are Bugaboo, LOTV and Digi Doodle.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I colored the image with Copic sketch markers. Really enjoyed coloring this image. The little bear and the cup were also pieced, as usual.. ;D

Happy Father's Day to all fathers in the world...

Day 65 - Add a Splash of Color to Every Day

Happy Friday, friends.

Who says no to TGIF? Hehehe. I love every day of my life. On Friday, my mind doesn't work as hard as usual. Lol. Because tomorrow is Saturday, and I only think of music to play on Saturdays. Thinking what songs to learn, the chord to play on the piano. Love the moment so much. Music is my life.

Today, I was inspired by a picture of Rainbow Cake that my friend posted on her facebook account. So yummy. I haven't tasted this cake. Perhaps, later, when I go to the Capitol and find the best RC. I also called this today's make a RC = Rainbow Card.. Love this die cut from PTI.

Supplies: PTI die cut, MFT sentiment, Distress Ink

In Indonesia, there's a children song about rainbow:

Pelangi, pelangi,
Alangkah indahmu
Merah, kuning, hijau
Di langit yang biru
Pelukismu Agung
Siapa gerangan?
 Pelangi, pelangi
Ciptaan Tuhan.

The free translation is like this:

Rainbow, oh rainbow
You are so beautiful
Red, yellow and green
On the right blue sky
Your painter is Holy
Who is that anyway?
Rainbow, oh rainbow
It is God's creation.

Sometimes I teach the kinder teachers this song in English version. As long as it makes sense, they get the song. Hehehe...

Ok, then, my friends. Hope you can see that beautiful rainbow. It usually appears after a rain. In Christian song, I also can find a song "Seperti Pelangi Sehabis Hujan" ("Like A Rainbow After A Rain) which implies to Jesus' love to us.

Happy start of the weekend..

Day 64 - 4 You

Hello friends, happy Monday.

So glad that I could spend the whole morning 'till the late afternoon in the craft room. I managed to finish 2 scrapbook albums. So, 4 more to go. And at the end, I made this card using my new die cut. I've been waiting for long for this die cut from Simon Says. I fell in love with it at the first sight in Carla's post. And I adore her creations, too. I was inspired by her card and made this one.

The base card is linen card which is easy to get in any book store. It looks like Bassil card stock. Hehe. And I love how red color is so protruding on white and this blue linen. And this is the closer look on the rose flower that I really really love to make. Can't count how many roses I have made so far..

This will be sent to my friend who had her birthday a couple days ago. Sorry for being late.. ;D

That's all for today, Not much to tell. We are still happy for the result that Kezia made for her Junior School exams. But, unfortunately, she won't get what she wishes, a SLR camera, because the target was not achieved. She needed just a little point to reach the target. Hehe.. Well, let's see if I can persuade her father to buy one for...ME, and Kezia can borrow.. Lol...

See you then..

Day 63 - Petits cards

Bonjour, mes amies..

Happy Saturday. Praise The Lord, my first daughter passed the secondary school exam. That's National Exams. Next July, she'll go to high school. Woohoo.. Congratulations, Kezia..

Today was not that busy, but I took a nap for more than 3 hours.. What's the meaning? So tired? Though in my mind, I, actually wanted to finish the scrapbook album that my sister asked me to make. 5 more albums to finish.. Ohlala. Thinking of that, I fell asleep.. ;D

Well, I had a date with my DH this Saturday evening.. We spent an hour looking around for a new restaurant to visit. We finally ended in a new small one. I just ate "laksa": noodle with curry soup. Then, impulsively came to our minds to buy a barbeque grill. And we went to the houseware store and buy the beautiful one. It will be our first time to grill meat tomorrow, on Sunday morning. I bet the children will love it.

Now onto the card. It's getting late here in Indonesia, but I tried to finish these three little cards. I just love this image from Penny Black. I think I will send these to my friends who sent me birthday cards, as a thank you notice. It will be included in the package of some gifts. Just wait for them, my friends..

Supplies: Penny Black rubber stamp, Copic sketch markers.

Thanks you for viewing my cards. hope you have a wonderful weekend. The Lord bless you and keep you.

Day 62 - Life is Tea-riffic - ATC Challenge

Happy first day of June, everyone.

It's time for ATC Challenge, theme : Father's Day. I know, you won't find my ATC this week in the blog challenge, as I am one of the DTs in team B. And the creations of team B will be on the second week of the challenge. Which means, when you come again next week to the blog, then you'll find my creation there.

I made this simple ATC with an image from Floppy Latte Designs. Amazing digis. Love this one.It is called "Time For Tea". Our sponsors this fortnight are the fabulous Meljen's Designs and Floppy Latte Designs. And please remember you can enter either an ATC or a Card into our challenge. You can also enter your card into our sister blog Fat Pages With Attitude.

This is my ATC:

Supplies: Digi Time For Tea from Floppy Latte, Digi sentiment from Create With TLC, Copic Sketch markers, Carla lower alphabet punches, Stampin Up! embossing folder.

I used these Copic markers to color the teapot and the cups. I love BG01-Aqua Blue.

I adore so much sentiment digis from Digital Creating With TLC. I've known this creative blog since some years ago. I used some of the sentiments in my cards in the past. I've kept many freebies she has allowed us to download. Adorable. And this one is so pretty, right?

And talking about 'Dad', well.. I've been with my Dad for only 27 fruitful years. I am like him in most of the ways. Especially my height. I am the one who is the tallest among 5 kids at home. I got it from my father's side. He's happy now in his new home called heaven. He's been away for 19 years, but the memories can't fade away.

Today, Father's Day is for my kids' daddy, a.k.a my DH, hehe. We don't specially have this Father's Day in Indonesia. We only know Mother's Day, which is in December 22. My DH is the only man in this house, surrounded by 3 girls. Have you seen our family picture in my other post? If you missed it, you can click here.

Ok, then. Happy weekend, my friends.. God's blessings are always with us all the way.

Day 61 - Always show your true Colors - Yes, Virginia, I'm really inspired!

Hello friends,

Today is the last day of May. It's also the end of the challenge I conduct in my facebook account. I really love all the creations they made. The theme was: birthday card with no image stamping, for a 45-year-old lady..which is me... lol.. New sponsors proposed their goodies for all participants. I'm sooo thrilled.

Onto the title. What's your color? I love all colors, but particularly I love aqua blue, or something like a turquoise. But in daily life, I mostly wear white. ;D

Today, before May is over, I managed myself to make this card. The theme was hanging on my mind for the last several days. I kept trying to figure out what to adorn the white card stock. I am really inspired by the challenge that Virginia holds. Look at the picture her daughter took. So lovely!! It reminds me of my violin case which is dark blue, quite boring. I wish I could find orange violin case.. lol..

Earlier this afternoon, I got this die cut out from Nova, who is one of the sponsors for the challenge. Wow! They are adorable. I don't have such die cut. So, with no hesitate, I made this card. Fortunately, coming along with these cage die cut out was the free scoop sentiment stamp!! Ohh, what else can make me feel so glad today.. So suitable.

Supplies: Cage die cut out, MFT sentiment clear stamp, distress ink.

The closer look on the cages.

And this is my violin case, that blue one...Can it be orange??

I started learning violin in September 2011. I am a newbie, right? Lol.

Challenges:

Well, that's all for now. Thank God that we can end May beautifully. Let's welcome June tomorrow with more original creativity, with more happiness and fun. May The Lord shower His blessings to you abundantly..

Big hugs,

Day 60 - Have A Fantastic Day - CFAS Challenge - Many Layers + the winner

Hello friends,

"If I hadn't joined any women's organization, I could have made more creations every day".

That's the unreal conditional sentence. Hehehe.. Yes, I just did some review for the radio listeners on this lesson. I hope they do understand my explanation in the air. Last Monday was the 250th lesson. Can you imagine that I've been in the air for 250 times, not mentioning the quiz times? I love that job. I've been doing it for more than 5 years and I always have materials to teach. I thank The Lord for always giving me "hints" whenever I make a script.

Ok, that's about English Corner in the air. Now onto the CFAS Challenge. This fortnight, you have a chance to make Many Layers on your creation. This is what I do on the image given by Just Some Lines. So many adorable digis there. Check it out. I found this little girl with the gift box beside her and a cute "gug gug" inside the box.

Supplies: Just Some Line - Jessi and Gift , Hero Arts sentiment stamp, Copic Sketch markers

When I did the layering, I remember about the Papertole that my friend and I made some years ago when I was still in Kalimantan. Look at the pictures below. On the second picture, you can see the layers that we did; FIVE layers! It took almost a month to make this Papertole painting. But the result is awesome. I have another 2 Japanese ladies with this papertole, but I haven't framed them.

Ok, now onto the winner of CFAS bloghop, check here.

And in my blog, the winner of the clear stamp and some die cut is : Colleen; where the winner for the twines is : Gabriele, who timidly could guess my age.. (in my country, it's fine to know someone's age..). And a special gifts for my Indonesian friends: Farika and Yosephine who played along. Congratulations, ladies..
Please send your snail mail to my email address: dwita_crafter@yahoo.com within a week.
Thanks so much for viewing this post and your lovely comment... ;D

Day 59 - Have A Fantastic Day

Hello friends,

How's your Monday morning? Still feeling lazy? Like this hedgie? Well, sometimes wo feel that way when we had fabulous weekend and we want a prolonged Sunday. LOL. It's my morning again in the craft room. After the busy week the last whole week, creating something really makes my day. I made 4 cards in a row for the DT submissions. Done.

So, here is my card.

Supplies: Stamp Lazy Day from Penny Black, sentiment Hero Arts, Copic Sketch markers.

Hedgie is really cute, right?  Seeing Tilda from Magnolia in almost all my friends' blogs really makes me bored. No,no,no. I don't get bored with Tilda. Nope. I love her. However, my eyes need to see something else. I found this stamp in the drawer and thought how many times I ever used this. Once, twice? I think I still can count.. Just twice including this card. LOL.

Ok then, hope you have a good start of the week, my friends... The Lord bless you and keep you.

Day 58 - Heartfelt Wishes ATC Challenge

Been MIA again for almost a week. What a hectic week for me. I did some things which were not routines. So tiring and I am exhausted. The only cure has been being in the craft room. Yes, indeed, every day this week, after those activities, I recover myself from the tiredness by sitting on my chair in the craft room and made something or finished the scrapbook albums.

Anyway, this is the ATC as for challenge in ATC's and Cards With Attitude #14 - Anything Goes

This is the closer look on the image:

Go to the blog and find the first of the group of DT showcases. Mine will be shown next Friday, but I post it, anyway, tonight.

Happy weekend, everyone.
