Day 9 - ODOP Christmas - 'tis the Season

Happy Wednesday, my friends...

It's a quite hectic day for me, especially with the sore throat. Last night, as I mentioned, I prepared for the new adventure. Yes.. this morning, it seemed like "a dream comes true". I finally got a chance to share knowledge of little sewing to mothers. Mothers here were the parents of the students at my school. The registration form was designed to accommodate 5 people only since there are only 5 sewing machines. Then, 8 ladies showed up. C'est pas grave... :D
They learned how to draw a pattern, to hand-sew and finally to sew using the sewing machine. They were so excited. Because it was their first time operating and even seeing the machine in person. We had so much fun. We made owl pin cushions, but then we added a chain and made it into an owl keychain. See the picture.

And after that I went home to take a rest for a while. I felt so tired. Then before 1, I went to school to teach until 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I picked up my daughter and waited her for her piano lesson. I overslept in the car. Hehehe... *the prove that I was exhausted.
Just now, I managed to make this card. Still using the same stamp as yesterday's. The theme: use yesterday's stamp with Christmas background.

 It's a simple card, but I like how it turned out, just as I imagined previously.

I used Canson paper for the white basic. The front part was embossed with Snowflake embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The pattern papers were still from Bazzil Basic Papers. I love this set. The sentiment was from Papertrey Ink, punched with Stampin Up label punch. The banner die cut was from Simon Says Stamp.

Look at the cheeks, the coat and the beanie. I added dots of Pearl Liquid. So cool.. This is the closer look. I also used 'paper piecing' technique for this cute girl. I love this technique. So less time consuming.

Day 8 - ODOP Christmas - Happy Holidays - Paper Piecing

Hi my friends,

I had many events today. I went to the Tuesday Fellowship in the morning. It was in the church where I went 10 years ago. I was just attending the Sunday service for a year there, before becoming the member of the present church.

For lunch, I joined the ladies gathering. We are the mommies of P3 in my daughter's school. It was a monthly gathering. I ate "tahu telor". The taste was not the same as I expected. But, that's okay lah.
Then I went home, and met my assistants. I helped them prepare the kits for teaching tomorrow. It was about Paper Tole. Surely the students will have fun tomorrow in craft sessions.

Then I had a little time to make this card. It used one stamp from a stamp set from Hero Arts. It's an old stamp set, but I still love it.

And this is what I came up with:

I did some paper piecing on the coat and beanie. That meant I stamped the image on the pattern paper and cut it along the lines. Then I adhered using foam tapes. Lovely. The pattern papers were still from Bazzil Basic Papers. This is also one of my favorite techniques (while I'm not in a real mood to color.. Hehehe..)

I gave a color to the snowflakes using All Purpose Ink from Tsukineko. I used a fine brush to apply this ink.

Day 7 - ODOP Christmas - Deers

Happy Monday, my friends...

The theme for today is using winter animals. I used these deed die cuts from Impression Obsession. The background die cut was Winter Church in The Wildwood from Precision Cutting Die by Frantic Stamper Inc. That's the newest die cut in the craft room. I love it.

 The pattern paper was from Bassic Bazil Christmas Countdown. White dots as the pattern paper look like falling snow. And the dots on the lower white paper representing snow were made of liquid pearl. It's not a white one, but Lavender Lace. The color was not so white. I love how it turned out.

However, I didn't have any idea where to put a sentiment. In my eyes, the sentiment would ruin the ambiance. Then I decided not to. I left it that way. I could put the sentiment inside the card. Or not at all..  ;D

This is from the side. You can see, that I used special foam tape. It's a circle foam tape. That makes the card looks neat from the sides.

Day 6 - ODOP Christmas - Happy Holiday

Hello friends,

Happy Saturday.. I spent the whole morning and afternoon at home. I watched TV with my hubby, had lunch with everybody in the family, then ha d a chance to sew 6 more drawstring bags. Then, I managed myself to make this shaker pocket. The theme is snowflake.

It is only one piece of pattern paper. I stamped the sentiment using Versamark then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I punched several snowflakes using Carla punch and EK Success big snowflake punch. I inserted them all and also the voucher inside a plastic pocket. I fused those three sides with Photo Sleeve Fuse from WRMK. It was really fun. And finally, on the top part of the pocket, I used the die cut from Magnolia. It can be torn to open the pocket and get the vouchers. Fantastic!

Wow!! It seems I can't stop buying and trying new craft tools. This fuse is quite versatile, I think. I will try again later.

Day 5 - ODOP Christmas - Christmas Blessings

It's a hectic day. Ohlala... I did so many things. I only want to tell you what I did after lunch. Yeahhh.. I cleaned the craft workshop. It was not a place where I usually do my crafts. It's a place outside my craft room, where my assistants work and prepare craft kits. I changed the whole look. Unfortunately, I forgot to take picture "before".

So, I just had time to make this card with the theme: Christmas tree. I made a shaker card. Inside, I inserted sequins and punch outs of tree... Hope you can see them. For the oval, I used a die cut fom MFT. The poinsettias were from Lawn Fawn die cut. The sentiment was from Papertrey Ink. And the pattern papers were from Mistletoe Magic, MME.

I like making shaker cards using this die cut. It's so versatile. I think I will make more shaker cards. They will be available in the gift shop and book shop in 5 malls in Jakarta. I'm so excited to make them, because I know people will take a look on them, and they will buy.. ;D

Day 4 - ODOP Christmas - Joyeux Noel

Hello friends,

Today I managed to make this Christmas card. I didn't use any images, as the theme said so. Then I used die cuts. They were all from Memory Box. So adorable die cuts. Love them all. And the papers were from Countdown To Christmas from Bazzil Basics Paper.

I love the result of using these die cuts...

Day 3 - ODOP Christmas - Let It Snow

Hello my friends,

How are you today? I do hope you have a wonderful day...

The theme for today is a gift on the creation. I still used Magnolia Tilda. I colored it with Copic Markers. I added the stickles on the hat and the skirt; frantage on some places. There's also Liquid Pearl on some spots and also on the bows. The let-it-snow die cut was from Lawn Fawn. The poinsettia die cut was from Marianne Design. The papers were from Floral Pavilion, 6x6 Premium paper Pad Trimcraft.

Sometimes I feel that blue is for ice. So the ambiance of the card was in blue. Hope you like this card..

Sympathy Card - Share Handmade Kindness For a Friend

Hello friends..

It's a sad day, as a husband of my friend passed away last night. And we visited the Funeral Home this late afternoon for a service from the church. So sad. The kids are still little. Here is a picture that the choir of the kids presented a song for the family.

And before going to the Funeral Home, I made this card. The stamp was from Stampin Up. I colored it with Copic markers. It's a one-layer card, so I couldn't colored it too deep.

I hope Ance, my friend, is strong enough to face the future with those two kids. I always cry a lot if I come to the Funeral Home. The songs sung there always reminds me of my own father who passed away 23 years ago.... Still, I miss him, too..

Anyway, I enter this card to join the Weekly Challenge in Jennifer Mc Guire blog.

Day 2 - ODOP Christmas - Red & Green

Meet again.


The card style today is still the same as yesterday. And I also used the image I had colored last month. I colored Joyful Tilda with Copic markers.

The pattern papers were also from MME. I added frantage and green stickles on the hat. Some Liquid Pearl was added on the dots.. The poinsetia die cut was from Marianne Design. The merry christmas die cut was from Lawn Fawn.

Day 1 - ODOP Christmas - Merry Christmas - Dominant Red

Hello friends, meet again.

Today, I made this card using the image I colored last month. It's Joyful Tilda. I colored it with Copic markers.

The pattern papers were from MME Mistletoe Magic, 6x6 Designer Paper Pad. The 'merry christmas' die cut was from Lawn Fawn. The poinsettia was from Marianne Design. Then I poured some frantage, embossed it. Et voila...

I love starting making Christmas cards again..... Coloring, cutting, adhering..and finally sending..

ODOI - Day 3 - A Girl

Meet again,

Today's theme is a girl. I used Penny Black stamp. Again with Copic, but the paper was Sketching Paper from Derwent. The colors really protruded on the back of the page. I think this paper absobrs much ink, though the blending is okay.

This result is ready for Christmas card later.. :D :D

ODOI - Day 2 - A Boy

Hello friends,

It was not easy to connect to the internet yesterday. So I upload it today. The theme of yesterday was a boy. I used the Edwin stamp from Magnolia. I colored it with Copic but on different paper. This time on Smooth Surface Cartridge Pad Heavy Weight from Winston & Newton. What I like, even though I colored several time on the same spot, the paper stayed the same. It didn't show the "tint".

This week, I will try to keep on using Copic markers on different papers that I possess. I will see the difference in "feeling" of coloring and the result.

ODOI - Day 1 - Anything Goes

Hello friends,

Today is the first day of October, as well as the first day of ODOI - One Day One Image. The theme is Anything Goes. I think it's also the first day of coloring in The Daily Marker.

I used an image from MFT Stamps: Wheelie Like You.

I simply colored it with copic markers. The hair is colored with E44 and E47. The t-shirt is colored with B93 and B95. Those are my fave colors for the pinkish. The jeans are colored with B93, B95 and B97. Those are also my fave colors for the jeans. The greens are: YG11 and YG17. The grays are C1, C3 and C5.

The paper? Well.. this is the first time I used Aquarelle XL from Canson. Quite good. I cannot tell yet the good thing of the paper compared to the Watercolor from Canson, too.

ODOP - Day 25 - Born To Shop

Hello friends,

Today's odop theme is: Me Time. That is the activity I enjoy doing by myself. Yeah.. I like shopping, not particularly craft tools. When I was in craft store, I would spend more than 3 hours to see, choose and finally buy the things I love. Last weekend, I went to the fabric store. That was the first time I went there. I felt like in heaven. There were so many beautiful fabrics. At first, I only wanted to buy linen in dark blue and broken white. I got them. Then, I saw so many pretty cotton fabric. I couldn't help myself. Lol. I spent much money on that store. However, I was lucky enough to meet the owner of the store. I told him why I bought the fabrics. Yes.. He wanted to support me by sending the left-over fabrics. I was so happy about that. He also promised to buy any sewing tools I need if he went to Japan. Cool...

Look at me, so happy with 2 bags full of fabrics..

And the project for today is, again, a tag, since I still have several empty tags. I stamped the glasses using Old Paper DI. Then I stamped these two ladies with Versafine Black Onyx, as well as the sentiment. All stamps were coming from a stamp set: Born To Shop by Grace Taylor.

Today is the last day of ODOP: Journey of Life. We will have another ODOP in December. In November we will have ODOI : One Day One Image to color. Fun, huh?

ODOP - Day 24 - Love Grows Here

Happy Tuesday, my friends...

The theme for the one day one project is Tag. So I made this one.

The tag die cut is from Kaiser Craft. All love die cuts as well as the stamps are from MFT. I used Versa Color ink pads. The stripes are from Bazzil paper. And of course I use The Twinery.

Hope love also grows in you. It means: all kindness can cover mistakes... Love...

ODOP - Day 23 - Love This

Hello friends,

Happy Monday. It's a lousy day. I'm quite sad as I had to say goodbye to my craft assistant. She will start working in the Law Office in Jakarta. She graduated from Law Faculty of UI. She deserves a better job. She had been working with me for 19 months. I like her cleverness. She is smart and could execute any crafts I asked her to make. She's also quick in arranging all craft kits for teaching. We cried together this afternoon while we were saying goodbye. Well. starting next week, I'll be missing her and I have to make the craft kits by myself. Ohlala...

By the way, the theme today is animal. I opened my stamp drawer and found this Penny Black stamp set. I chose this stamp, colored it. In real life, I wish I could have a dog. But the environment doesn't permit me to have one. I used paper from Prima called En Francais. The 'love this' sentiment is from Technic Tuesday.

Do also hope for my luck to get a new assistant who is as capable as she is.

ODOP - Day 22 - Whenever We're Apart

Hello friends,

Nothing much I can say this morning to you. I'm traveling to Jakarta to take my daughter. She wants to see the Anime Festival Asian. I just want to drop her there then I will go to a fabric store, etc. Lol

Today's theme for One Day One Project is Fairy. I have no physical stamp for fairy. But I have ever had a digital stamp from Delicious Doodle called Away With Bunnies. Unfortunately the store had closed down due to the European Law about selling digital stamps. So sad.  I used it once here on an ATC. I colored it with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Fiskars.

Fairy enough?
