4.2.13

Hello from me..

Hello friends,

Wow!! It's been such a long time since the last post. I must say "Happy New Year" to all of you. Better late than never, right?

I've been very very busy, moving from the company housing complex to our own house. It is still in the same city. We must move because my hubby has been promoted to work in the office in Jakarta. So, we must hand over the house back to the company. Luckily, our own house is ready to live in. It's a house that we have built for 5 years.. Hehehe, such a long time, hee? It is still time for me to arrange again the things that we brought from the old house. Some of them are still in the boxes. I must find proper time, because now I am also an English teacher for English Proficiency Program, as well as the Director of Study for that program. What a work! The program is from ACT Education, USA.

Before that, I spent winter holidays in Korea, where I finally could touch the snow! Ohlala, what an amazing moment. Especially the snow in Nami Island, where the celebration of our wedding anniversary was taken place. Amazing holidays. My kids were thrilled to go abroad this long, and used some fancy jackets.. ;D
These are the pictures when we were in Korea.

My hubby and I in the snowy Nami Island, on December 14, 2012, 16th celebration.

Until a week ago, I forced myself to make this card. This is for my friend, Rina, who was having her birthday. She also did some giveaway.

Sources: 2 Tilda stamps, Memory Box Window die, PTI Cloud dies, Mc Gill Fern punch, MS Grass punch, Carla flower punch, Copic Sketch markers, Fiskars paper crimper.

The story of the front card: I came by my bike bringing some flowers for Rina's birthday. Rina was waiting for me and keep on peeking from the window..

This is the inside of the card:

You know, I made this card for 6 hours. Some time on Friday and some time on Saturday. Hhehe.. You can say that this is my very first card in the year 2013. (!)

Hope the card arrives safely and Rina likes it..

I do hope I will have more time to create something. The commitment of One Card A Day in 2012 seemed unfulfilled. Anyway, let's try our best to use all the stuffs, all the tools and all the energy and time we have.. May God bless you always...

Big hugs,

Day 100 - Wishing You Happiness (last cards of the year)

Hi friends,

It's good to meet you again.

My commitment for "A Card A Day" seemed not be fulfilled. Up to today, I was only able to make 100 styles of cards. This means today is the 100th day in that commitment.

This set of cards is a birthday card style. My sista ordered 50 cards. She wanted to give (again) each colleague a birthday card in 2013. Actually, this style is so simple. It didn't take so much time. I made them only in a day and a half. 10 cards for each color.

These are the cards.

Sources: CB Happy Birthday embossing folder; Carla Butterfly-A CP2 punch; Stampin Up! sentiment stamp; DI pads

There's not much to say. I must make another commitment for 2013 to make not only cards but also more creations. I also hope that all of you have time -plenty or little- to create something every day (if possible) and use all the tools, stuffs and everything we possess in our own craft room/table. Enjoy more in 2013, friends.

Have a pleasant time in welcoming the year 2013.

See you again, my friends.. Love you all.

Hello friends,

Day 98 - We Wish You A Merry Christmas

Hi friends,

Here are the fourth set of the cards I have made these last two days. I was inspired by Maile Belles' work. Check her wonderful creations in her blog. Maile Belles' and Dawn McVey's creations are my inspiration.

Hope you enjoy my cards. Happy Saturday evening...

Day 97 - Just A Little Christmas Note

Hi friends,

It's good to make Christmas cards again. I managed to make fifteen cards. Five kinds and 3 each. Someone ordered these to be sent to her friends in Japan. This is the third set. The styles for the first and the second ones are the ones I made in the past.

The pattern is the same as this one. I changed the image with christmassy Tilda. I love this image. I still enjoy coloring in simple way. Also for the embellishments, I don't really like putting so many embellishments. Still love the simple ones.. ;D

Sources: Magnolia stamp; MD poinsettia dies, CP1 snowflake punch; Spellbinder Label 8; MS border punch; Copic sketch markers

This is the set. I made three cards with the same design but different colors. I colored the image with Copic, then I tried to find the similar card stock color.

Hope you enjoy my cards.. Happy weekend, friends..

Day 96 - DT ATC - Every Snowflake Has A Story

Hello friends,

It's been a fortnight since my last post. Wow! Time flew so fast. Teaching crafts at 2 schools seem occupying my time. Time for preparation, time for going to the schools, time for teaching. All out. My chance was to make ATC for this challenge.

For the next fortnight, the challenge in ATCs With Attitude is about  Winter Wonderland. I used this cute image for this challenge.

Source: Robyns Fetish's Christy Angel, Copic sketch markers, MFT sentiment, Carla snowflake punch, Teresa Collins p.p.

As usual, I love doing paper piecing. Take a look on the picture below.

Go to the blog: ATCs With Attitude and find the DT's creations. Join the challenge to grab the images.

Happy winter wonderland... I hope I will see the snow (personally) next month.. ;D

Have fun.. Bye now...

Day 95 DT ATC - Kingfisher - Blessings

 Hello friends,

It's another Friday. Time for ATC Challenge in ATCs & Cards With Attitude. The theme is: Autumn/Winter. I used the image from Delicious Doodles - Kingfisher in The Rushes.

Here is my ATC:
Sources: Delicious Doodles digital image; pp Vanilla Sunshine from s.e.i.; MFT sentiment; Copic markers; SU! label punch; Creative Memories Oval cutting set

This is the closer look on the image:

I used my very old tool to cut the oval. It is from Creative Memories. I bought the set when I was in a Quilt Exhibition in Houston in the year 2000. Die cut from outstanding brands seem to replace this cutting set. However, the company is still there and this small oval from CM is the best one to cut this small. Look at the picture below.

The oval is the template. We can use the inner and the outer side. For this ATC, I used the inner side. The blue is the blade. You know, CM is, I think, a MLM company. When I bought it, they offered to send it to my place. I think, I was talking to the demonstrator of CM in my area in Houston.
Well, I will use this tool often, as I don't have oval die cuts..

Ok, then. I feel good to be back on track to make the cards. Don't hesitate to join the challenge, and visit the blog, to see all the DTs' works. Have fun, my friends.

Day 93 - Bon Voyage..

Hello friends..

This is just to tell you that I will be away for a fortnight. I will fly tomorrow midnight by Emirates to Dubai, then to Egypt. Then to Mount Sinai, Dead Sea, etc..etc. Yes, I am going to Holyland. It is with my beloved Mom. I accompany her, just because among her children, I am the only one who is the most available.

This is a faux postcard I made for today.

Sources: PTI Postmark stamp set and dies; Hero Arts sentiment stamp

This is my first trip to Holyland. so, I hope I will treasure all the moments and get the spiritual gain. Wish me safe trip, friends. See you again..

Day 91 - DT ATC - Happy Halloween

Hello friends,

Friday comes again. I was absent for a week, and yet, I am still out there. Today is the day for the next ATC challenge. It's color theme; Yellow, orange and red.

This is my ATC.

Sources: Digi 'Haunted Bird House' from Beccy's Place, Copic markers, Hero Arts sentiment stamp

Well, I, actually am not fond of the image like the house bird, and everything with the ghost. I always avoid such images. However, I colored it with the brown copic. The pumpkins, well, perhaps the colors are not supposed that way. Hehe.. We don't have such halloween pumpkins here. Just assumed the colors.

Join the challenge, which I am sure all of you have colored images with those halloween colors.  Our sponsors are: Delicious Doodles and Floppy Late

Have a nice start of the weekend, my friends..

Day 90 - Traveling Away

Hello friends,

This is the card for today.

Sources: p.p, from Wayfarer Bazzil Basics Paper; font from computer

I adopted the style from the magazine Paper Crafts, Sept/Oct 2012 edition. It was the card made by Alyssa Scritchfield.  I love all the creations in Maptastic! section. Especially because I know I will be traveling more and more. The creations really inspire me to make more photo albums using such pattern papers. I also want to try to make that flower card using map pattern paper. Looks so gorgeous! (later..)

These are the closer look.

See you again...

Photo Album for Ethan

Hello friends,

I made this photo album for a friend of mine, Hanny. She is an online seller in facebook. I happen to enjoy everything she sells. Hehehe. She just delivered a  baby boy. So I decided to make this album for her. This is for the first year of her baby. I didn't embellish much, because I know Hanny can do much better.

This is the cover of the album:

Sources: Magnolia baby boy stamp, MS border punch, CLD Doily die cut, PTI alphabet die cut, Marvy star & carriage punch, SU oval punch, Kaiser p.p., Crate Paper little boy blue p.p. for the whole album, Zutter bind it all

I used these papers inside:

Lovely papers. Hope Hanny likes this album.

See you again, friends.

Day 89 - Orange Flowers

Hi friends,

Just like yesterday, I made this card also for a friend of my Mom. She was her colleague in the campus. You know, my Mom is 73 and is still a lecturer in a campus, teaching English.

This is the card.

Sources: Hero Arts flower stamp, Zig markers, CB embossing folder.

I colored the stamp and just stamped it, without spraying some water. The envelope is in the same way.

This is the closer look on the flowers.

Hope she enjoys the birthday celebration today.

See you again, friends.
