Coloring Album

Hi friends,

Have a pleasant start of the week.. 

Do you remember my last post? I went to Jakarta for a short break and celebrated my Mom's birthday. Before going, my youngest asked me to make a coloring book with Hello Kitty pictures on each page. She loves HK images. So I searched on the internet and found some pictures of HK. I printed them on white card stocks. Then I made the front and back cover of the album. They are made of thick card stock. Surely it will make the coloring so stable.

     Selin colored the images with coloring pencils. Her elder sister, Sisi, helped her. Sisi is a student in Global Art, a place for coloring and drawing. I think the coloring of Global Art's students is predictable. They do some layering in coloring images. ;D

Eid Mubarak Holiday

Hello friends,

Well..well.. Holiday took my days away.. Lol.. It was Idul Fitri or Eid Mubarak holiday. I don't celebrate it, but, I love holiday... Who doesn't? 

Anyway, I had to do all the chores at home. And finally had a short break in Jakarta, where I met my mother. Luckily, my brother also came from Pakistan, a country where he's working as an officer in UN (WFP). So really glad to meet the whole family. It was also my Mom's birthday, on 23rd. She's 73 and still looks younger than her age, and is still amazing. I made this "cake" for her. She was surprised looking at the cake. 

 

I made these slices of cake in my craft room. But the flowers, I made them just a night before the birthday. I gave these slices of cake to a gift shop in one of the malls in Jakarta, as a sample. I'll reveal the secret later in September.. ;D

I also made another slices of cake. Let's see the comparison between my "cake" and the cake we can eat.

Hehe, the one on the left was so yummy to look at (only), where the one on the right was sooooo yummy in our mouth that we didn't leave any bites of it. It's called "Devil Chocolate" cake. It's tremendously delicious..

I returned yesterday from Jakarta, fully charged.. ;D  (..and of course, also full of paper pads that I bought.. hehe..)

Day 81 - DT Card CFAS - Faux Stitching

Been busy with some stuffs and did not blog for some time. And here comes the Wednesday. It's time for CFAS challenge #34 "Stitching". I have no sewing machine in my craft room, so I did some faux stitching using the white pen.

I feel good, making this one layer card again, after so long... I'm still impressed with Susan's dedication to make one layer card. So simple and easy, moreover, it never consumes too much time to make one.

Birthday Goodies - Mini Scrapbook Album

As I promised yesterday, this is the post of the goodies for Selin's friends on her birthday party. 

INTRODUCING, my newest tool: ZUTTER!! It has made my work so much simpler, easier and faster, and most of all, less less less expensive.. Yipeee...

 

The pattern papers were the ones I bought some years ago, when p.p. came first in Multiply. And I just had the right time to use them all. So happy, that those pieces of paper finally went out of the big box.. ;D

Let's take a look on each picture below.

The albums on the down right were for the teachers. The rests were for her friends.

Birthday Cakes

Hi friends,

Yesterday was the coolest day for my third daughter. She was very very happy that she could celebrate her birthday with her friends in class. She was very timid, as I observed. Hehehe... I managed to make the "cakes" for her. I found the template here. It's so easy. I just print the template on the brown card stock, and then trimmed it one by one. It didn't take too much time and the result was so perfect, in my eyes.. ;D

During fasting month like right now, I think this cake is very suitable for celebrating in the morning. It won't harm anybody's feeling. Heheh..

Day 77 - Birthday Invitation

Hello friends..

My third daughter's birthday is on July 1. However, each year, that date is always in school holiday. It means she will never be able to celebrate her birthday in her class. So sad. Every time her friends had the birthday, she always gave a present and in return got a goodie bag. She really longs to celebrate it. Well, I finally decided to celebrate it, since this year is her last schooling in kindergarten. And moreover this is her 5. Why not?

For this event, I made myself the birthday invitation. Take a look.

I know this kind of invitation is not popular among the students and their mothers in Selin's school. They prefer to buy the blank invitation and just simply write the date and the name. One of the admin officers said that this was the first time for her to see this kind of invitation. Hehe..

Hi, it's Friday again, and it's time for ATC Challenge. It's Anything Goes!! Easy peasy, isn't it? This is the  DT ATC for this challenge. She looks so pretty, right?

The Eiffel stamp reminded me of Sorbonne. Lol.. I wished I could have studied abroad, especially in France. Years ago, I could only manage myself to get a homestay scholarship in Tours to learn French. It was a fruitful experience, as I went there at the age of 37. Not a young age to "taste" living abroad, but, I gained wonderful time, wonderful friendship and wonderful journey, and wonderful shopping of craft things...ever...

Day 74 - Be Yourself

Hi friends,

Today I cleaned my craft desk, after making yesterday's scrapbook page. I found several pieces of scraps. I was thinking of using them instead of putting them in the drawer. Here is the result, just a simple card.

It's so simple, right? So, never say that we can't make anything just from scraps. Trim and adhere, and sometimes stamp.. Voila..

I adore the sentiment stamp set from MFT. It's a gift when I shopped 2 months ago. The sentiments are about art and originality. So cool..
