Day 25 - Nothing is A Waste Of Time If ...

Hi friends,

I am in Jember now. It's in East Java province. I took a 10-hour train from Cirebon to Surabaya then continued with another train for 4 hours. I arrived yesterday. And today, i gave a workshop on Pop Up creations. I managed to teach 4 creations today. Tomorrow, I will continue teach them with another 6 or 7 creations. And the funny thing is that the card for CFAS DT is in line with the theme I will teach tomorrow. So stay tune in tomorrow's post, will ya..

I arrived at the hotel around 4 in the afternoon. Then, I made this card. A simple one. I brought these felt flowers and this leave stamp. Yes, I really wanted to make a card for today. Hehe.. But, I missed some tiny buds for the flowers. Well, at least, I felt glad to be able to make a card again after a week. So, here is my card.

Supplies: PTI leave stamp and X'mas dies, MFT sentiment stamp, felt flowers, velvet ribbon

These are the details:

These are the photos of mine, teaching in the workshop today. Can you imagine, there were 750 kinder teachers?? Woooohoooo.. So many. But, thanks to Jesus, I could handle this big workshop. They didn't get away from their seat until I really finished and said goodbye. Oh, they are really exhausted of knowledge, and I'm so thankful that I can be one from many to share the knowledge to them.

750 kinder teachers..

Ok, friends, see you tomorrow for the new CFAS. Stay tune with me.. ;D

Thanks for viewing all the pics..

February 16, Pop Up Book workshop in Probolinggo, East Java :

February 17, Pop Up Book workshop in Lumajang, East Java:

Yes, I am so tired. However, if I have some cards to make, I'm sure those will relieve my tiredness.. LOL... I will fly tomorrow morning with the earliest flight to Jakarta. I'll meet my Mom there, and tomorrow evening, I'll take the train to go back home.. Miss everyone at home...

Day 23 - Have A Fantastic Day - Go to to the next level

Hello friends,

I'm back from my workshop. I was teaching how to make and to form clay from three kinds of flour. The materials are easy to find and inexpensive. The participants were almost 300 kinder teachers. So glad that they could make the best clay, only learned in a few hours. Good luck, teachers! Share the knowledge to others and to your students. These are the some pics from the workshop.

A bit tiring, but it's Sunday, so Sunday for me always bring more joy, more happiness. Because this is the day to praise The Lord together with friends and family in Sunday School and church. There were 2 debuts this morning, happened to my second daughter and to me.. Amazing. The Lord permitted us to do this to praise His name. My second daughter, played on the piano in the Kids Choir Ensemble. The song: "Open The Eyes Of My Heart". And me? This was the first time for me to play the keyboard in Sunday School fellowship. Thank You, Lord, for the chance.. Amazing. These are the pictures.

And today, I managed to make a card. As today is the debuts for both of us (and both my DD and I are the second child in the fam.. ;D), I made this card using this sentiment. It's a fantastic day, and hope it is, too, to you.

Supplies: 3 Hero Arts stamps, The Twinery, local ribbon and buttons, Distress Inks.

This is the detail. I love pins..

Thanks for looking, friends. Hope you enjoy the pics as you also enjoy this lovely Sunday..

Day 22 - Hello

Hi friends,

Me again..

This Friday morning, I again woke up so late.. Hehe. Still jetlag, I guess. I tried to sleep at the time at night, but I still couldn't close my eyes until over midnight. I guess I fell asleep around two in the morning. I woke up just to make sure the kids go to school properly and then went to bed again. That's the mistake.. Hehe.. But, my eyes... oh...

So, to make me awake, I keep telling myself about the commitment of A Card A Day. LOL... These are the tags I made today, with the birds on them.

Supplies: PTI Stack dies, MFT Tag Dies, PTI leaves stamp, SU Bird punch, Hero Arts sentiment stamp, The Twinery and local ribbons.

These are the closer look on each of the tags:

These will go to the lady chosen by Deborah, in February 2012 Card Chain Challenge. So glad that I can join again, after missing the event twice. I chose the theme: Birds (in honor of the Great Backyard Bird Count (Feb 18-21). Hope the lady enjoys these tags. All these three will be given to her.

Challenge:

Let's ink It Up #20 - Ribbon

Ok then, until tomorrow..ups.. I won't be here tomorrow, so meet again on Sunday...

Thanks for your lovely comments, friends.. Bye..

Day 21 - Life Is What You Make It

Hai friends,

Yesterday was so busy. My assistant and I prepared all the things for the clay workshop in Ponorogo, East Java (10 hours by train). There will be 700 kinder teachers on Saturday workshop. So, the materials prepared should be at least 160 packs. Oh.. what a job!!

I made this card very late evening, around 10.00 p.m. And I couldn't post it, because the wi-fi in the housing complex has blocked the blogger sites. So sad about that. I can see my blog, but I cannot sign in. So this morning I managed myself to upload it.

Here it is.

Supplies: Hero Arts Cling Music Background, PTI X'mas Label & butterflies dies, MFT Rolled flower dies, handmade pins, The Twinery, MFT sentiment, Distress Ink Forest Moss.

This is the closer look on the butterfly:

I love that sentiment coming in the set. So versatile set of sentiment from MFT. I got it as a bonus from December purchase. I do agree with that sentiment. Yes, I love music and I can't live without music. I always always always listen to the music, either gospels or instrumental songs, or even just listen to my daughters playing piano, guitar, or recorder. I myself always play one or two musical instrument every day. At least 15 minutes a day. That keeps my mind in balance after a hustle and bustle of everyday chores. This will keep me think that I'm lucky in this world and am always thankful to Jesus for the life He's given me. You know, happiness is when we are thankful for everything we encounter in every single moment in our life. Do you agree? ;D

Ok, that's for this card. See you again later for today's card. Thanks, friends.

Day 18 - Missing You All The Time

Hello friends,

My trip to Mediteranian was fabulous. For me, it was an amazing tour. We spent 11 days there. We flew to Dubai then to Madrid, and continued to Toledo, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Andorra, Lourdes, Montpelier, Marseille, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Nice and Paris. 11 days, 4 countries, 12 cities, 7 hotels, 3 stadiums, 10 different restaurants, and so many tourist objects, and most of all much much souvenirs we bought. ;D

This is one of the pics in Toledo, a small city near Madrid. It's me and my DH. Beautiful small city. Barcelona is also a lovely city where I ate "Paella".. Hmm..

This one was in Monaco. Woohoo, so many luxurious cars. I was amazed with the beauty of the parks in Monte Carlo, and also in the palace.

And this one was taken when I revisited La Tour Eiffel. It was 0 degree Celcius, and I took off my overcoat, just to show the "batik" that I was wearing. "Batik" goes to Eiffel.. Hehe..

Ok, that's all about the trip, though actually there are so many things to tell and to show. ;D

Back to the track, I made this card this morning. I was inspired to make this kokeshi (again), after I bought the book in Paris. The kokeshi was free hand cut, without pattern. Well, I'm back to track, back also to Japanese crafts that I ever enjoyed.

Ok, that's all for today. See you again tomorrow. So glad that I can make a card a day again.. ;D

Day 17 - OFF to Mediterania

Hello friends,

I am here to tell you that I will be absent for the next 12 days. I'll be flying to Madrid via Dubai, then to Zaragoza, Barcelona, Andorra, Lourdes, Nice, Monaco and will be flying back from Paris. I will accompany my DH to those amazing places. It's a business trip for him and the wife should come along. We will be another 4 couples. In Paris, DH will join a meeting in Schlumberger. Yes, he is a Petroleum Engineering in oil company in Indonesia.

I'm quite sad that I won't be able to make cards to fulfill my wish for "A Day A Card". In those places, I presume there's no craft stores. I asked my French friend, she said she has all the crafts tools by buying online. Well, I think it's time to forget a bit about crafts and enjoy the trip, the scenery and the beauty of each place.. Moreover, it's a good time to rebound the chemistry between me and my DH. Hahaha...

So, before I go, this is my card for today. As I ever mentioned in my post in the past, I adore Dawn McVey's creations. I occasionally make cards just like hers; or just got the sketch and used the stash I had. So easy but pretty (in my eyes.. LOL). This one was also inspired by her card using this stamp set.

Suplies: PTI Stamp set

And these are the details on the "stamps"

Thanks for viewing my creation. Meet you again in February 5. Bye, friends....

Day 16 - Wishing you happiness

Happy Chinese New Dragon Year

Hello,

How's the celebration in your place? Was it festive? In my town, it's so wonderful. I could see the "Barongsay" and the "Liong" (dragon), coming in and out the Chinese stores in China Town. So crowded and so fun.

Here is the card I made today. I love the image. This and yesterday's stamp came just in time. I am soooo glad... I used glitter glue on the 'barongsay' mouth and eyebrows. So cute, right?

This is the closer look on the image.

Look at the charm I used here. It's a fish. Hehe.. I think the Chinese cooks fish, too, on that celebration day.

Once again, wishing you happiness always... Happy Chinese New Year for you who celebrate it.. ;D
