Thinking Of You

Hay, happy Tuesday..

While waiting for my hubby this late afternoon, I made this card. I saw a card with this design in Paper Crafts Magazine and thought of making one. I used the butterfly stamps which had laid in the drawer for long long long time. This was the first time for me to use them. The background cling stamp is new. I love this one. So versatile.

Just A Note

What??? Two months were away without blogging? Ohlala....

And I am in love seeing someone's creations all in vintage colors. So I tried this one. Yes, I imitated hers a bit. Hope she doesn't mind. Mixing so many elements is a challenge for me. Wow!! It's quite a hard work to find the matching papers and colors. What I like, it's about using scraps. I have tons of scraps and it's time to use them. Hope these scraps go along perfectly. I am just not satisfied with the red flower. It should be bigger than it is.

I used Hero Arts stamp (Starburst Lace) for the red doily at the back. The doily in front of it was from Die-namic MFT. They are quite new in my craft room.. ;D

Ok, then, thanks for looking..

Wishing You Love & Laughter - for Aurell's Wedding

Hi friends,

Today, my crafter friend gets married. Aurell has been a friend since we were in Multiply. So happy for her that I will come to her wedding reception tonight at Semarang. I have to travel for 4 hours by train.

Here is a card I made for her.

Source: Hero Arts stamp, Cheery Lynn Designs Heart die, Marianne flower die

The colors are based on the invitation itself. Look at it below. She punched the border and the small card herself! How many MS punches did you spend, Aurell? ;D

And here is the gift I'm going to give to her. I can't reveal it until next week. LOL...

Hello Butterfly Oriental

Updated, June 7, 2011: This card has won Honorable Hoot in Wee Memories challenge. Thanks so much...
&
it had been sent to Katy K in USA.

Hi friends,

I just managed to make this card base on one picture I found in pinterest.com. Inspired by the colors used, I also used the colors which I hope similar to the ones in the picture. ;D

The butterfly is from a die from Cheery Lynn Designs. I love their dies.. Every time I bought dies, they always gave me a wonderful gift. ;D And this is their first ever challenge. I must join.

Here is the card:

And the closer look on the butterfly:

The flower is a gift from my friend, Evieta. She adores making paper flowers, and she gave me more than two dozens of them. Just visit her blog and you'll find so many wonderful flowery creations..

Birthday Girl in Red

Friends, meet again.

I have a card in my file here and I haven't posted it yet for any challenges. This card is for my younger sista for her 40th birthday last April. She was very happy to receive this card. That's what my Mom told me last week when I visited her. Oh, I'm so glad she likes it.

This is one of my newest Tilda stamps. The flower is the one I bought in the store. I used kraft cardstock because I am still addicted to using this kraft. It can go with any colors, I think.

Hugs - Sparkle & Shine

Hello friends,

As I said early this year, that I would add more flowers on my creation, here it is another card with a flower on it. Just a simple rolled flower. I used Marianne die to make this. I added Diamond stickles on the edge of the flower. I also sprayed Bubbles Glimmer Mist all over the front card. Though the card base is light pink, the sparkle and shine can give the card a pretty nuance. Even on the Hugs tag, it looks so covered with the shine. This is the first time for me to use Glimmer Mist all over the card, as I only used Glimmer Mist for the scrapbook project. What do you think?

This is the closer look.

And this is the look of the flower.
See that the brown branch and leaves are also shiny because of that Bubbles Glimmer Mist. Oh.. what the first experience..

Thanks for looking and really appreciate your comments.

Recycling envelopes

Hi friends,

Surely you are familiar with the green sign above. As also a card maker, of course, I have some new papers and old papers. Big as 12'x12' and also scraps. Since I also enjoy sending and receiving cards from friends in this globe, I sometimes got envelopes which were plain outside but patterned inside. I want to share some cards which used a used envelope and turned it into flowers and leaves. Most of them were in rolled flowers.

Enjoy...

Hope you are inspired in using used envelopes and turn them into something beautiful.

Thanks for looking, friends.

Patricia Garcia's Green Blog Candy

Yesterday, I happened to enter the previous card into Totally Gorjuss challenge. I misunderstood the meaning of "check", just when I visited Patricia Garcia's blog. Oh my, what an embarrassing moment (let alone I graduated from English Department..LOL).

Well, I, then, scrooled down in her blog to see all the beautiful creations she's made and found that she is having a GREEN blog candy. Wow! so yummy..

It ends on March 7, 2011.

Silhouette Lady

Hello, back again.

This card is using my new die cut Silhouette Lady. Love it so much.

I don't use a black color as a usual silhouette color, because when I was in the middle of making this card, I saw these two DPs. So, the colors also go to the flowers.

Birdie Small Box

Hi friends,

In the last mini meet, I got this orange petit box from my friend, Yussi. In the past, she decorated the box lid with the quilling creations. This time she couldn't manage her time to quill, so she just gave me the box. It's a pretty neat handmade box. So I decorated it with my new bird die.

Tags for friends

I'm back again.

Last Tuesday, I met friends of mine in Jakarta. They are friends of creating cards, crafts, etc. This time, we were fifteen!!! Wow!! So many new friends. We met at Facebook. We did some card making. I myself learned hybrid scrapbooking. It's a wonderful new knowledge for me. At the end of the mini (..or maxi?) meet, I gave each of them some goodies and a tag. Here are my tags.

I used some punches to create everything on the tags. The background was stamped with 'bark' stamp from Hero Arts. The sentiment was the one I really adore from Hero Arts, as well.

Just Saying Hello

Hi friends,

Wow... how long did I miss posting here? I miss you and your comments so much. This is the card I made just now. I used my new die cut, a bird cage. It seems to me that anything goes with a cage is a vintage look. Well, not that easy to make a vintage look. So, I decided to make a monochrome card with a hint on the bird itself.

This is my card.

To embellish the cage, I used punch outs: leaves, gave distress ink. The flowers were stamped and cut. I added the bling-bling and some stickles to make it a bit shiny. I know, it doesn't turn that good.Or, I was not good enough to take the picture. ;D
